Deglace, a France-based technology startup, has announced that it will showcase the Fraction, a cordless vacuum cleaner designed around modular construction, user repairability, and long-term use, at CES 2026. Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Lille, Deglace emphasizes principles associated with the circular economy, including modular design, repairability, and long-term product support.
Fraction Vacuum Cleaner Overview
The Deglace Fraction is a cordless vacuum cleaner built around a fully modular architecture. Deglace states that every major componentโincluding the battery, motor module, electronics, and sensorsโcan be removed and replaced independently, without tools.

According to the company, this design is intended to simplify maintenance, reduce downtime, and limit the need for full product replacement when individual components wear out.
See the announcement at the Deglace website.
Modular, Tool-Free Construction
Deglace says the Fraction vacuum uses a plug-and-play system that allows users to replace components in seconds. The company has stated that this modular architecture is also intended to support future component upgrades, though specific upgrade paths have not yet been detailed.
This repair-focused design approach was a central theme of the productโs Kickstarter campaign, where Deglace emphasized user serviceability and long-term ownership as core differentiators.

Predictive Maintenance System
The Fraction includes what Deglace refers to as Neural Predictive AI™, a system designed to monitor component wear and operational status. Deglace says the system can alert users when maintenance or part replacement may be required, with the goal of preventing unexpected failures.
Integrated UVC Light
Deglace states that the Fraction vacuum features an integrated UVC light, which the company says is intended to neutralize up to 99.9% of certain microbes during cleaning, without the use of chemical cleaning agents.

Materials and Build
According to Deglace, the Fraction vacuum is constructed using aerospace-grade aluminum, selected to improve durability and resistance to long-term wear.

Suction and Power Modes
Deglace lists the Fraction vacuum at up to 250 air watts of suction. The vacuum includes multiple power modesโEco, Normal, and Boostโwhich the company says automatically adjust based on cleaning conditions to balance power output and energy efficiency.
As with all manufacturer-provided specifications, real-world performance will need to be verified through independent testing.
Included Accessories
Deglace lists the following accessories as part of the Fraction system:
- Soft floor brush
- Hard floor brush
- Mini motorized brush
- Crevice tool
- Wall-mounted charging dock

Production Timeline and Availability
The Fraction was previously introduced through a Kickstarter campaign, where Deglace presented the product as a modular vacuum designed to last longer than traditional cordless models. According to the company, the campaign demonstrated early consumer interest ahead of the productโs planned commercial launch.
Deglace reports that the Fraction vacuum is currently moving through industrialization, tooling, and certification phases. Broader availability is planned for early 2026, following completion of quality validation and production ramp-up.
The company has stated that it is prioritizing product reliability and long-term support over rapid market entry, a theme it has consistently emphasized since the Kickstarter campaign.
CES 2026 and What to Watch For
The Deglace Fraction will be on display at CES 2026, where the company is expected to share updates on production progress, modular design details, and its long-term repairability strategy.
