LG has received a 2026 CES Innovation Award in the Home Appliances category for its Robot Vacuum Cleaner with Built-In Station, a system that appears closely related to—if not the same as—the model the company previewed at IFA 2025.
Built-In Docking Station Designed to Install Under a Kitchen Sink
The design centers on a built-in docking station meant to install under a kitchen sink, using otherwise unused cabinet space for a clean, integrated look. According to LG, the station supports fully hands-free operation, including automatic water supply and drainage, mop washing and drying, cleaning-solution dispensing, and dust disposal. A turbidity sensor monitors mop cleanliness during each cycle, optimizing water and energy use, and an air-circulation system is used to reduce noise during dust disposal.

100 °C Steam Mopping and AI-Powered Navigation
The robot itself incorporates a 100 °C steam-mop system designed to address grease and sticky residues, and the station automatically sterilizes the mop with steam after each cleaning run. Navigation is powered by an on-device AI chip that detects floor types, dirt levels, household objects, and environmental features. LG also highlights LG Shield, its built-in privacy and data-protection platform.
