Today, our focus is on the Smoture VAC01 cordless vacuum cleaner. While we’ve never evaluated products from this brand before, it’s a mega best seller on Amazon, probably because of its incredibly low price. But it has excellent reviews too. So we decided to buy one for ourselves and put it through all of Vacuum Wars’ evaluations to see if it’s any good. And at the risk of spoiling our Smoture VAC01 review, it took the Vacuum Wars Best Budget Cordless Vacuum crown!

The Smoture VAC01 Cordless Vacuum
As noted, this cordless vacuum is a bestseller on Amazon as of the time of this article. And it’s selling right now at what we consider cheap, even when compared to the Levoit, our previous budget pick.
It comes equipped with a standard combo floor head that’s good for both hard floors and carpets. It also includes a dusting brush or upholstery tool, crevice tool, wall-mounted charging dock, and extra filters.
Evaluation and Performance
For our Smoture VAC01 cordless vacuum review, we thoroughly evaluated the vacuum’s performance across various real-world cleaning challenges. It achieved impressive results in all key areas.
Power
The VAC01 cordless vacuum has a lot of raw power. We measured its sealed suction at 106 inches on max power, which is much higher than the Levoit at 82 inches and the average score of 43 inches.
During our carpet deep-clean test—where we measure how effectively a vacuum lifts embedded sand from medium-pile carpet—the Smoture’s strong suction and carpet-agitating roller let it finish just above the category average, delivering impressive deep-clean performance for its price.
Debris Pickup
It excelled in all pickup evaluations. It could pick up all types and sizes of debris on the surface of carpets with no issues.
In our hard-floor test, the Smoture cordless vacuum handled debris up to and including smaller Froot Loops with ease, although it struggled with extra-large pieces. Despite that limitation, its performance remains impressive, outpacing the Dyson model we were also evaluating by 2 points in overall pickup score.
Active Hair Removal
The floor head of the Smoture VAC01 has an active hair removal system. These little combs remove the hair from the roller as you vacuum—something that only used to be found in high-end vacuums. And it did pretty well with the 7-in and 14-in hair tangle evaluations. It was not perfect, but it was still better than not having those features.
Auto Suction Adjustment
Speaking of features that used to only be on high-end products, it also has auto suction adjustment, where when it’s in auto mode, the vacuum will adjust the suction up or down depending on whether you’re vacuuming hard floors or carpets. This makes its battery life and performance more efficient.
It also has an LED display on the back, which is touch-activated. With it, you can choose to vacuum in low, medium, or max power instead of auto mode. There’s also a battery life display in the form of LED lights.
Battery Life
The Smoture’s battery life is one of its majors pros. The VAC01 has a relatively large battery that’s detachable. Smoture also sells these batteries separately, which is rare for a new company.
The official battery life on low power is 60 minutes, which is 16 minutes above average. We also evaluated it on max power, and it got almost 17 minutes, which is also pretty long in comparison to the average 12 minutes.
Using this vacuum on medium power or auto mode probably makes more sense. If you do, expect around 30 minutes per charge.
Handheld Mode
The high suction on max power is really useful when the Smoture VAC01 cordless vacuum is in handheld mode.
While the handle weight is average, it’s fairly compact and easy to maneuver. We really like the included brush tool, which is modeled after Dyson’s and is one of our favorite attachments for cordless vacuums.
As long as you use it at maximum power, you’ll have enough juice for all handheld tasks.
Filtration
Another advantage of the Smoture VAC01 is its filtration system. It used to be that all cordless vacuums in this price range had terrible filtration, so we found it hard to recommend anything. But the VAC01 uses a HEPA filter, and it seems to have a really good seal. It passed our fog evaluation, which is incredibly rare for cordless vacuums in this price range.
Dustbin & Other Pros
The Smoture VAC01 has a larger-than-average dustbin capacity of 1500ml and is fairly easy to empty.
The noise level was significantly lower than average at just 73 dB on max power.
Also, this cordless vacuum can stand up on its own, which is extremely rare but very helpful.
The floor head of the vacuum also seemed well-designed. It had a good swivel that responded well to wrist movements, and it has LED lights on the front—a feature more useful than you might think.
Other noteworthy pros include:
- Smoture offers a 2-year warranty, which is higher than the 1-year warranty most manufacturers offer.
- Smoture offers 24-hour support. It’s not something you see advertised very often.
Cons of the Smoture VAC01 Cordless Vacuum
It can’t all be good stuff, especially at this price range. So let’s move on to some possible drawbacks.
Floor Head Design
This cordless vacuum was designed more for picking up large debris, so it allowed a little more airflow as a result. This means that it didn’t do as well in evaluations that required a tight seal on hard floors. For example, it was significantly below average with the crevice pickup assessment. And things were the same with the unsealed suction evaluation at the head, which was below average.
This means that if you want to pick up heavy debris like sand or cat litter, you’ll need to use the max power mode. It won’t pick up debris from crevices in hard floors very well either. But to be fair, almost no cordless vacuum in this price range can do any of those things very effectively.
Bulk Pet Hair
Some users have reported it clogging at the intake if you vacuum extensive amounts of pet hair. In which case, you’ll have to unclog it manually. While this is something we didn’t see in our evaluations, it’s worth mentioning.
Smoture VAC01 Cordless Vacuum Review: Conclusion and Recommendation
By the numbers, the Smoture VAC01 cordless vacuum is a really good vacuum for the price. It even made our top 10 list—a rarity for cordless vacuums this affordable. It claimed the Best Budget slot from the Levoit LVAC-200, which had held that position for several weeks. It’s definitely our favorite budget cordless vacuum so far this year, and we’re hoping for great things from Smoture in the future.
