The Tikom V500 cordless vacuum has quickly gained attention as one of the best budget-friendly vacuums on the market. After putting it through several weeks of hands-on testing, we found that it offered far more than its low price might suggest. In fact, the Tikom V500 even won our award for Best Cordless Vacuum Under $100 in 2025 in our 2025 awards video.
In this detailed review, we’ll cover the Tikom V500’s features, pros, cons, and real-world test results. By the end, you’ll see why this vacuum earned such high marks for its price range and whether it’s the right fit for your home.

At just 3.4 lb at the handle, the Tikom V500 punches well above its price class: its anti‑tangle brushroll, roomy 1.3‑liter dustbin, LED headlights, digital battery gauge, and handy crevice‑and‑dusting tools make quick work of daily messes on both hard floors and carpets, while filtration that’s better than most budget rivals keeps fine dust in check—even passing our 14‑inch hair test with minimal tangling. Although raw suction and runtime land below the class average, the V500’s balanced design, solid pickup scores, and feather‑light handling deliver everything you need for under a hundred dollars—earning it Vacuum Wars’ 2025 Best Cordless Vacuum Under $100 award. Tikom V500 Cordless Stick Vacuum Features, Configurations, and Versatility
Starting off with the basics, the Tikom V500 is a cordless stick vacuum selling at a very low price. It’s currently selling for under $100, which is well under the average price of almost $300 for the cordless vacuums we typically review on this channel.

It can be used for hard floors or carpets. And like most cordless stick vacuums, it’s very versatile as it’s able to be used in its normal stick configuration or just with the floor head attached to the handle for stair cleaning jobs or with one of the two included attachments with or without the wand for above floor cleaning jobs. It also has a nice bright bank of LED lights to see bits of debris that you might have otherwise missed.

It also comes in three color options – orange and white, blue and white, and black and gold — giving buyers some variety at this budget price point. © Vacuum Wars

Tikom V500 Pros: Affordable Cordless Vacuum with Strong Performance
Lightweight Design and Easy Handling for Daily Use
Another advantage is its ease of use and weight. It uses the original Dyson V8 style handle, which we like because of its good center of gravity.

When you combine that with its relatively low handle weight, which at 3.4 pounds is just below the average amount of 3.5 pounds, it makes using the cordless vacuum feel very effortless. It’s easy to push. It has a nice smooth swivel on the floor head which responds well to wrist movements, allowing you to get in and out of tight spaces easily.

LED Lights and Attachments for Above-Floor Cleaning
The Tikom V500 comes with two attachments, one of which is also a Dyson style upholstery tool/dusting brush, which has longer than average bristles. When you use that in combination with its lightweight handle, it makes it actually useful for dusting things around the house.

It also comes with a nice wall mount which you can connect the charger to. You can also store the two included attachments there.

Floor Head Design
The Tikom V500 cordless vacuum has a well-designed floor head with large front gates which allow for larger debris on hard floors and carpets.

While we did eventually find its limit with larger debris, especially on hard floors, it was still better than average with this and got an overall pickup score of 30, compared to the average score of 26.4. This result is basically the same as the Dyson V8 Animal, which scored 32, and is likely the model that the Tikom V500 was more or less modeled after.

Hair Removal System and Filtration Quality
Another good quality of the Tikom V500 is that it has an active hair removal system built into the floorhead. This is a feature which only recently started showing up on vacuums in this price range, and it worked well. In our 14-in hair tangle test, for example, the Tikom V500 was nearly perfect at resisting hair tangles, which was impressive.

Another thing you don’t typically see on vacuums under $100 is decent filtration. And don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t perfect. There was some visible fog in our filtration test, but it was the best filtration I’ve ever seen on a vacuum in this price range.

Tikom V500 Battery Life, Runtime Efficiency, and Detachable Battery Features
Battery Display and Power Settings
Battery life is important with cordless vacuums, and there’s a lot to talk about here. The Tikom V500 comes with a detachable battery, and it has a digital battery life indicator on the LED screen so that you can tell exactly how much runtime you have left, which is one of the more useful modern features on a cordless vacuum in our opinion. It has two power settings, a standard and max power.

Runtime Testing and Efficiency Score
The official battery life is 32 minutes on standard power.

We also tested the V500 on max power, where it ran for 18 minutes. To evaluate how good that really is, we use a measure called the battery efficiency score, which combines maximum runtime with maximum airflow power. The Tikom V500 scored 17.3 points, just slightly below the average of 18.8.

Considering that most of the cordless vacuums we review cost around three times as much, this is a very competitive result. When we factored in all battery-related performance, the V500’s overall battery score actually came out a little above average—impressive for a vacuum in the under $100 category.

Tikom V500 Battery Life and Efficiency Recap
| Standard Runtime | 32 minutes |
| Max Runtime | 18 minutes |
| Battery Efficiency Score | 17.3 (Average: 18.8) |
| Overall Battery Rating | Slightly above average |
Tikom V500 Dust Bin Size and Noise Level
Large Capacity Dust Bin and Easy Emptying System
Another good thing was its dust bin. It has a 1300ml capacity, which is pretty big, and it’s easy to empty with a touch of a lever on the side of the bin. And you don’t have to take the wand off to empty it, which is not always the case.

Quiet Cordless Vacuum with Lower Noise Output
The final pro we will mention is its noise level. It was fairly quiet at 75 dB where the average was 77.

Limitations and Cons of the Tikom V500
Weaker Suction Compared to Premium Cordless Vacuums
Although the Tikom V500 performed well with general pickup on hard floors and carpets, it fell short in terms of raw power compared to higher-end vacuums. In sealed suction tests, it measured 50 inches of water lift, which is well below the cordless vacuum average of 75 inches. Airflow at the vacuum head was also lower, with the V500 reaching 29 cfm on max power compared to the average of 36.5 cfm.

Carpet Deep Cleaning Test Results
Practically speaking, this means that it struggled with deep cleaning tasks like in our carpet deep clean test where we test how much sand it can remove from medium carpet on max power after a fixed number of passes where it scored 89% where the average is 93%.

Crevice Pickup Performance
The Tikom V500 also scored below average in the unsealed suction test, which measures how well a vacuum can form a seal on flat surfaces—a factor that helps with cleaning deep crevices. It registered 0.22 kPa, compared to the average of 0.58 kPa, showing a weaker seal overall. As a result, it also performed slightly below average in our crevice pickup test, scoring 2 when the average score is 2.8.

Final Verdict: Is the Tikom V500 Worth It?
The Tikom V500 cordless vacuum delivers impressive performance for under $100. It offers:
- Lightweight, easy-to-use design
- Strong pickup on hard floors and low-pile carpets
- LED headlights and smooth maneuverability
- Active hair removal system
- Detachable battery with digital display
- Large, easy-to-empty dust bin
Its drawbacks—like weaker suction and less effective carpet deep cleaning—are expected at this price. But overall, the Tikom V500 is one of the best budget cordless vacuums we’ve tested.
If your home is mostly hard floors or a mix of surfaces, this vacuum offers excellent value and functionality under $100.
Bottom line: The Tikom V500 is a top contender for anyone searching for the best cordless stick vacuum under $100 in 2025.
