Dyson has today announced the PencilVac, its slimmest cordless vacuum to date. At just 38 mm in diameter and weighing under 4 lbs (1.8 kg), it’s also the lightest cordless model the company has ever produced. Dyson plans to launch the PencilVac in both the U.S. and U.K. markets in 2026.
The Dyson PencilVac Fluffycones is an ultra-slim cordless stick vacuum built for hard floors and tight spaces, with a 38 mm (1.5 in) handle and a lightweight ~3.9 lb body. It uses Dyson’s Hyperdymium™ 140k motor (up to 140,000 rpm) to produce 55 AW of suction and delivers up to 30 minutes of fade-free runtime in Eco mode with a click-in, swappable battery. The Fluffycones™ cleaner head features four soft conical brush bars that clean in all directions, de-tangle long hair, and clean right to the edge, plus LED illumination forward and backward to reveal dust. For under-furniture reach, it lays flat, flattening to just 3.7 in (95 mm). A two-stage, fully sealed filtration/dust separation system captures 99.99% of particles down to 0.3 microns, while a top-loading, dust-compressing bin and hygienic syringe emptying reduce mess; it also docks on a magnetic grab-and-go charging dock and connects to the MyDyson™ app for settings and maintenance guidance.

Fluffycones Brush Head with LED Illumination
The PencilVac builds on the Omni-glide’s dual-brush design with its new Fluffycones head, which uses four counter-rotating conical brush bars—two at the front and two at the rear—to lift and eject long hair before it can tangle. Integrated green LEDs at both ends of the head ensure even the finest dust is visible, while the vacuum’s slim profile makes it ideal for quick hard-floor touch-ups and reaching into tight or overhead spaces.
