xLean Unveils TR1 Transformable Robot Vacuum at CES 2026

At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, xLean is introducing the xLean TR1, a floor-cleaning robot the company describes as the world’s first dual-form, transformable floor-washing robot vacuum. The TR1 is designed to function as both an autonomous robot vacuum and a handheld cordless floor washer, combining routine floor maintenance with on-demand spot cleaning in a single unit.

Dual-Form Robot and Handheld Design

According to xLean, the TR1 can transform from robot mode to handheld mode in approximately one second. In robot form, it operates autonomously for everyday cleaning tasks. In handheld form, it allows users to directly address spills or concentrated messes that may require more precise control.

xLean positions this hybrid approach as an alternative to using separate robot vacuums and handheld cleaners, particularly in homes where sudden liquid or mixed debris messes are common.

Suction System and Claimed Cleaning Performance

The TR1 uses xLean’s Dual-Motor DirectSuction™ system, which the company says delivers up to 17,000 Pa of suction. xLean claims the system can achieve a 99.99% pickup rate for liquid waste and mixed solid–liquid debris, including sticky residues. In its announcement, xLean references a demonstration in which the TR1 cleans a mixture of cat litter and cola in approximately 15 seconds.

Self-Evolving Intelligence and Adaptive Cleaning

xLean also emphasizes the TR1’s software platform, described as a Self-evolving Intelligence system where it reportedly uses Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) during handheld use. xLean says the TR1robot vacuum can ten gradually improve behaviors such as obstacle avoidance, recovery from getting stuck, and autonomous cleaning decision-making.

The robot also features adaptive cleaning strategies that adjust cleaning intensity based on detected dirt levels. Heavier messes trigger deeper cleaning passes, while lighter debris results in faster, lighter cleaning, an approach xLean says improves efficiency while maintaining thoroughness.

Hunting Mode and Targeted Cleaning

Another feature highlighted by xLean is Hunting Mode, which is designed to actively search for dirt and debris rather than following a strictly uniform cleaning pattern. According to the company, the TR1 can identify messes, prioritize affected areas, and apply targeted cleaning, potentially improving efficiency and reducing unnecessary energy use.
