Dyson has confirmed that the PencilWash wet floor cleaner will be available for purchase in the United States beginning March 17.
Dyson has officially launched the PencilWash wet and dry hard-floor cleaner in select markets, expanding its growing floorcare lineup. The new model follows the design philosophy of the Dyson PencilVac, carrying over its slim, minimalist form factor into the wet-cleaning category.
The Dyson PencilWash is an ultra-slim cordless hard-floor cleaner designed to wash floors and remove wet debris in a lightweight, maneuverable format. It uses a high-density microfiber roller with about 64,000 filaments per cm² combined with hydration, agitation, and extraction technology to scrub stains, absorb spills, and remove debris while continuously supplying fresh water through an 8-point hydration system so only clean water touches the floor. Dirty water and debris are extracted from the roller each rotation and collected in a separate dirty-water tank, while the filter-free design prevents clogging, bacteria buildup, and odor emissions. The cleaner features an ultra-slim 38-mm handle, two hydration modes for adjustable water flow, and a roller designed for hard floors such as tile, vinyl, laminate, marble, and sealed wood, delivering a quick-drying finish. Additional specifications include up to 30 minutes of runtime, 10-fl-oz (≈300 ml) clean-water tank and 12-fl-oz dirty-water tank, coverage up to about 1,076 sq ft (≈100 m²) per fill, 4.9-lb total weight, and a 3.5-hour charge time.
