Shark Expands PowerDetect Series with New Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Shark has introduced two robot vacuum and mop combos to its PowerDetect lineup: the PowerDetect NeverTouch and PowerDetect NeverTouch Pro. While these offerings share many core features with the original PowerDetect robot vacuum, the new designs include mopping functionalities and added features in the automated base stations for water management.

Key Features

The PowerDetect robot vacuum series incorporates advanced cleaning technologies to detect and react to hidden dirt, adapt to different floor types, and navigate:

  • FloorDetect optimizes brush roll engagement based on floor type to maximize cleaning performance.
  • DirtDetect technology senses unseen debris, automatically boosting suction and making additional cleaning passes as needed.
  • EdgeDetect uses air blasts to pull debris from corners and edges into the cleaning path.
  • NeverStuck Technology allows the robot to lift itself over obstacles, thresholds, and carpets, preventing it from getting stuck and ensuring full-home coverage.

New PowerDetect with Mopping

Unlike the first PowerDetect robot vacuum, the NeverTouch and NeverTouch Pro models include mopping features, making them both robot vacuum and mop combos. Each comes with automated base stations designed to manage water, collect debris, and reduce the frequency of manual maintenance.

The key difference between the two is that the NeverTouch Base dries the mop pads, and the NeverTouch Pro Base both washes and dries the mop pads.

  • Object Detection and LiDAR Mapping: Each model comes with object detection and 360-degree LiDAR vision, to enable accurate mapping of the home, even in low-light conditions.
