Dyson has launched the Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene, a new wet and dry hard floor cleaner designed to remove both dry debris and liquid messes in a single pass. The product expands Dyson’s floorcare lineup with a machine built specifically for hard floors that combines debris pickup and floor washing in one device.

The Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene is a cordless hard-floor cleaner designed to vacuum debris and wash floors simultaneously using a filter-free system that prevents bacteria buildup, odors, and clogging while maintaining consistent performance. It uses an ultra-absorbent hybrid microfiber roller with 84,000 filaments per cm² and 1,400 embedded nylon bristles, spinning at 250 RPM to capture dust, hair, and debris while removing wet spills and stains in one pass. A 12-point hydration system continuously delivers fresh water to the roller, while a self-cleaning extraction mechanism with an anti-tangle comb removes dirty water and hair during operation to maintain hygiene and prevent wrap. The machine features three-sided edge cleaning for cleaning along walls and baseboards and a low-profile design that lies flat to 4.4 inches to reach under furniture. Additional specs include 45 minutes of runtime, 0.2-gal clean water tank and 0.14-gal dirty water tank, coverage up to about 3,770 sq ft per fill, four hydration levels including Boost mode, and a self-cleaning dock that washes the system and dries the roller with 185°F hot air in about 30 minutes.

Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene Enters Dyson’s Hard Floor Cleaning Lineup
The Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene enters the growing category of wet-and-dry hard floor cleaners designed to vacuum debris and wash floors at the same time. The machine removes everyday dust, debris, and hair while also washing away spills and stains from hard floors. Unlike traditional floor washers that require vacuuming beforehand, it collects dry debris and liquid messes simultaneously using a rotating microfiber roller.

According to Dyson, the cleaner features the company’s most absorbent microfiber roller to date. The roller contains densely packed microfiber filaments along with embedded nylon bristles designed to help lift debris and assist with stain removal while rotating at about 250 revolutions per minute.
A built-in hydration system continuously supplies fresh water to the roller during cleaning so that floors are washed with clean water throughout the process. Dyson says the system is designed to leave minimal water residue behind for faster drying and reduced streaking.

Filter-Free System Designed for Wet and Dry Debris
A central feature of the Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene is its filter-free system. Rather than relying on filters to separate debris and water, the machine keeps collected dirt, debris, and dirty water contained within the cleaner head.
The company says isolating waste at the cleaner head prevents dirty water and debris from circulating through internal pipes and ducts. The company says this design is intended to reduce internal buildup while helping prevent bacteria growth and odors that can occur when debris accumulates in filters or internal channels.

Low-Profile Design and Edge Cleaning
The Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene wet and dry cleaner weighs approximately 8.4 pounds, placing it among the lighter machines in the wet and dry cleaner category. The device also features a low-profile format that allows it to lie flat to about 4.4 inches, enabling cleaning under low furniture.

The cleaner head includes three-sided edge cleaning, which Dyson says enables the roller to reach along walls and baseboards to remove dust, debris, and spills near edges.

Self-Cleaning Roller and Hot-Air Drying Dock
The Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene includes an automatic self-cleaning system that rinses the roller after use. During this process, clean water flushes the system to remove remaining debris.
The machine is paired with a docking station that performs a drying cycle using hot air reaching approximately 185°F. Dyson says this process dries the microfiber roller after cleaning so it is ready for the next use.

Adjustable Hydration and Cleaning Coverage
The cleaner provides four adjustable hydration settings, including a Boost mode for heavier messes. These settings allow users to adjust the amount of water delivered to the roller depending on the flooring type or the level of debris.

Dyson says the machine’s hydration system allows it to clean up to 3,767 square feet of flooring using a 0.14-gallon clean water tank, which the company notes is about 20 percent more coverage than its predecessor.

The Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene includes Dyson 02 Probiotic hard floor cleaning solution, a non-foaming cleaning formula designed for use with the machine’s water system. Dyson says the solution is formulated to lift dirt and grime from hard floors while remaining safe for use in homes with pets and children.
