Roborock has officially released its latest robot vacuum and mop on its premium Saros line, the Saros 20 Sonic, bringing a combination of ultra-high suction power, advanced obstacle avoidance, and next-generation vibrating mopping technology. Previously previewed at CES 2026, the Saros 20 Sonic is now available for purchase.

The Roborock Saros 20 Sonic is a flagship robot vacuum/mop combo designed for advanced vacuuming and precision mopping, combining high suction power with a next-generation sonic scrubbing system. It features up to 35,000–36,000 Pa HyperForce suction with a Dual Anti-Tangle system that includes the DuoDivide main brush and FlexiArm Arc side brush to reduce hair wrap while improving edge cleaning. For mopping, it uses the VibraRise™ 5.0 sonic mopping system, delivering about 4,000 vibrations per minute with 14 N of downward pressure, and an extendable D-shaped mop pad that reaches edges and corners for more thorough floor washing. Navigation is handled by RetractSense™ LiDAR and AI-assisted mapping, allowing precise room mapping and obstacle avoidance while maintaining a low-profile body around 3.13 in to clean under furniture. The robot also features the AdaptiLift™ Chassis 3.0, enabling it to climb double-layer thresholds up to about 85mm and automatically adapt to carpets. It pairs with an upgraded RockDock® station that auto-empties dust, washes mops with hot water (up to about 100 °C), and dries them automatically, providing largely hands-free maintenance. Additional specs include a 6,400 mAh battery with up to about 190 minutes runtime, Wi-Fi app control with mapping and scheduling, and support for simultaneous vacuuming and mopping across both carpets and hard floors.

Advanced Mopping With Sonic Scrubbing
On the mopping side, the Saros 20 Sonic introduces VibraRise 5.0, which uses 4,000 vibrations per minute and 14 Newtons of downward pressure to scrub away stubborn messes like dried spills and grease.
The mop also features an extendable design to improve edge cleaning, with Roborock claiming up to 27% better corner coverage. Additionally, the robot can automatically detach its mop pads when vacuuming only carpets, which prevents accidental wetting of the carpet fibers.

A Major Leap in Suction Power
One of the standout features of the Saros 20 Sonic is its 36,000Pa HyperForce motor, which places it among the most powerful robot vacuums currently available. This level of suction is aimed at deep-cleaning carpets while also efficiently removing debris and pet hair from hard floors.
Roborock pairs this with a Dual Zero-Tangle system, combining a DuoDivide main brush and FlexiArm side brush. According to the company, the system is designed to eliminate hair tangling entirely—even with strands up to nearly 16 inches long—making it especially appealing for households with long hair.

Built for Real-World Obstacles
Roborock is emphasizing improved mobility with its new AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0, which allows the robot to climb over double-layer thresholds up to 3.46 inches and handle thick carpets up to 1.18 inches.

Combined with its 3.13-inch ultra-slim profile, the Saros 20 Sonic is designed to clean under low furniture while still navigating complex floor transitions—an area where many robot vacuums struggle.

AI Navigation and Smart Features
The Saros 20 Sonic uses Reactive AI 3.0 obstacle recognition along with a retractable LiDAR system and rear-view sensors to improve navigation in tight or cluttered spaces. This setup aims to reduce missed areas and avoid common household obstacles like cords and small objects.
On the software side, Roborock’s SmartPlan 3.0 enables adaptive cleaning based on user habits, along with features like:
- Zone-based cleaning
- Automatic re-cleaning of missed spots
- Do-not-disturb modes
- App and voice control via Alexa, Google Home, Siri, and Matter

Upgraded Dock With High-Heat Cleaning
The included RockDock is another major highlight, offering a fully automated maintenance system. It uses:
- 212°F hot water to wash mop pads
- 131°F warm air to dry both mops and internal dust pathways
- Automatic detergent dispensing
- Up to 65 days of hands-free dustbin emptying
Notably, the dock can wash mop pads while the robot continues vacuuming, helping reduce downtime during cleaning cycles.
