Top Robot Vacuums for Any Budget (Late 2025) — Our Picks by Price Range

For our Best Robot Vacuum for Any Budget – Late 2025 guide, we decided to announce winners by price range. Robot vacuum and mop combo prices vary widely—from around $150 to more than $2,500—and the features and specifications can differ significantly across those tiers. Ranking them by pricing category helps everyone find the best option for their situation, whether they’re looking for a simple starter model or one of the most advanced robot vacuum mop combos on the market.

If you’re new here, we’ve evaluated hundreds of robot vacuums in various ways to determine which models truly stand out. We purchase every product we review ourselves and don’t accept any sponsorships, which allows us to remain completely independent. You can always see our latest favorites by checking the Vacuum Wars Top 20 Robot Vacuums List, which we update every week as we test new products and market conditions change.

Note that the prices we reference are based mostly on each robot’s list price, since that number rarely changes. However, keep in mind that you can find most of these models on sale online, and sometimes much cheaper than their list price.

Best Robot Vacuum Under $300: MOVA S10

The best budget robot vacuum category for 2025 had a clear standout: MOVA S10.

Product pricing changes often, and our rankings update with it. To see if the MOVA S10 remains our Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner Under $300, check the latest results here.

It comes in at just around $170, which is impressive and shows how far budget robot vacuums have come in the past few years. It would’ve been unthinkable to get this level of value at that price point a few years ago.

MOVA S10 Robot Vacuum Mop we purchased for evaluations at the Vacuum Wars studio

The MOVA S10 robot vacuum and mop combo impressed us in testing while also packing in some strong headline specs. It uses top-mounted LiDAR to map your home and clean in neat, efficient rows, and combines that with a 7000Pa suction port that’s marketed as especially effective for pet owners, picking up debris and pet hair on both hard floors and carpets without tangling. In our tests, it earned one of the best carpet deep-clean scores we’ve seen at 90%, which is remarkable at this price point. The S10 intelligently detects surfaces, raising its mops by 7 mm to protect carpets from moisture during vacuuming, and the app allows you to adjust suction, patterns, schedules, and create multiple maps and no-mop zones. Overall, the combination of strong performance, modern mapping, and pet-friendly suction makes the MOVA S10 an excellent entry into the world of robot vacuums. See additional info

Even more surprising, the S10 features an electric mop that lifts when it senses carpet, which is a critical feature for any modern robot vacuum mop combo. And again, until recently, this kind of mopping technology simply didn’t exist at this price.

There are trade-offs, of course, considering the price point. The robot vacuum doesn’t have an auto-empty base, though you can purchase one separately. The mop pads need to be manually removed and washed after each use. And the vacuum lacks front obstacle avoidance sensors and advanced hardware and software features.

Still, for anyone looking to enter the world of modern robot vacuums without spending much, the MOVA S10 is an excellent place to start.

Best Robot Vacuum From $300 to $600: MOVA P10 Pro Ultra

The $300–$600 range remains one of the best-value categories. You get many features typically found on higher-end models, but at roughly half the price. And this year’s winner is another MOVA product: MOVA P10 Pro Ultra.

Robot vacuum prices change frequently, and we update our rankings to match. To confirm whether the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra is still our Best Robot Vacuum in the $300–$600 category, see the latest results here.

MOVA has quickly become a dominant force in the lower-priced segments, and the P10 Pro Ultra is one of the reasons why. When it launched, we named it our Best Value Robot Vacuum, and although it has faced some competition, it still holds that title.

The P10 Pro Ultra includes a fully featured auto-empty dock that empties the dust bin into a disposable bag, washes and dries its mop pads, and uses dual spinning mop pads that lift on carpets. Its vacuuming performance was excellent in our evaluations.

The robot vacuum mop combo also includes front-facing obstacle avoidance hardware: a camera, structured-light sensors, and even an LED light for cleaning darker areas. In our obstacle avoidance evaluation, it scored 19 out of 24, well above the average of 17.

With the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra, you get nearly the full premium robot vacuum experience at a mid-price point. For many households, this is exactly the kind of balance that makes sense.

Mova P10 Pro Ultra at Vacuum Wars

The Mova P10 Pro Ultra stands out as a strong mid-range contender. Its 13,000 Pa turbocharged suction and multi-level LiDAR mapping handle dust, debris, and pet hair on hard floors and carpets, while the all-in-one dock automatically empties the bin, refills water, adds cleaning solution, washes and heat-dries the mop pads, and self-cleans its washboard. The mop lifts 10.5 mm to stay clear of carpets, and an RGB camera plus 3D structured-light sensor can recognize up to 70 obstacle types—even in low light. With a FlexReach extending side brush for corners, pet-care monitoring, and “Hey MOVA” voice control, the P10 Pro Ultra delivers flagship-level conveniences at a mid-range price—making it a compelling option for mixed-floor homes and pet owners. Best Robot Vacuum From $600 to $1,000: Dreame L40S AE

We consider the $600–$1,000 range the true mid-level category. It’s where many models see major improvements in performance, mopping ability, navigation, and durability.

Robot vacuum prices and availability change frequently, and our rankings reflect that. To confirm whether the Dreame L40S AE is still our Best Robot Vacuum from $600 to $1,000, see the latest results here.

Our winner is the Dreame L40S AE. And it’s extremely important to look for the “AE” at the end, because Dreame has two other L40S models. In our head-to-head comparison, the AE version was significantly better, especially in obstacle avoidance.

There are three closely related Dreame L40S models. © Vacuum Wars

In fact, the L40S AE performed well above the typical average when comparing obstacle avoidance performance across models in this price range. Most robot vacuums didn’t come close. Similar to how the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra earned 19 out of 24 points in our standardized obstacle avoidance evaluation, compared to the average of 17.

Comparison graphic titled “Obstacle Avoidance” showing Dreame L40S Ultra scoring 7/24, Dreame L40S Ultra AE scoring 19/24, Dreame L40S Ultra CE scoring 8/24, and the average robot vacuum scoring 17/24, with a note that these are personal test results and not official specs.
Obstacle avoidance performance spread across Dreame’s L40S lineup and our lab average. © Vacuum Wars

Advanced navigation and obstacle-detection hardware are important aspects when differentiating models within the same lineup, so the above results are a big deal.

The L40S AE also outperformed the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra across several performance categories, including mopping, carpet deep cleaning, pet hair pickup, and battery life. It earned 36.6 points in our combined mopping evaluation. That’s more than double the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra’s 17.4 points and well above the overall average of 22.8 points.

If you want a strong robot vacuum mop combo without paying premium prices, the Dreame L40S AE is a compelling option.

The Dreame L40s Ultra AE is a robot vacuum-mop combo equipped with 19,000 Pa Vormax™ suction, a TriCut 3.0 anti-tangle brush, and intelligent obstacle avoidance via RGB AI + 3D structured light. It has a 5,200 mAh battery, a 395 ml dust box, and clean/dirty water tanks of approximately 4.5 L / 4.0 L. Best Robot Vacuum From $1,000 to $1,300: Dreame L50 Ultra

The $1,000–$1,300 range is where many companies position their former flagship models or their slightly scaled-down second-tier versions. At this tier, you also begin to see premium-level hardware: threshold-climbing systems, upgraded navigation, extended mop pads, and advanced cleaning algorithms.

Robot vacuum prices and availability change frequently, and our rankings reflect that. To confirm whether the Dreame L50 Ultra is still our Best Robot Vacuum from $1,000 to $1,300, see the latest results here.

Best Robot Vacuum From $1,300 to $1,600: Roborock Qrevo CurvX

This price range is one of the biggest battlegrounds in the robot vacuum industry. It’s home to current flagship models from major brands, including the Ecovacs X11 Omni, Narwal Flow, MOVA Z60, Dreame Aqua 10 Roller, and others.

Robot vacuum prices and availability change frequently, and our rankings reflect that. To confirm whether the Roborock CurvX is still our Best Robot Vacuum from $1,300 to $1,600, see the latest results here.

Our pick here is the Roborock CurvX, which is currently the Vacuum Wars #1 robot vacuum overall, regardless of price. That selection may surprise some people, but it earned the win.

When we first reviewed the Roborock CurvX, we didn’t give it high marks. Our main concern was water usage while mopping, which we believed could cause streaks on hard floors. But after extensive additional evaluations in real-world and test environments, we realized the Qrevo CurvX wasn’t leaving streaks at all, even on very dark flooring.

Despite higher water use in evaluations, the QRevo CurvX still left our floors looking clean and streak-free. © Vacuum Wars

This finding caused us to reevaluate our scoring algorithm, and we reduced the penalty for high water usage. Plus, the QRevo CurvX’s water usage isn’t nearly as much as some of its competitors. It left just 2.2 grams of water on the floor in our water-left-behind evaluation. Other robot vacuum mop combo models, like the iRobot Roomba Plus 405 Combo and the Shark PowerDetect Thermacharged NeverTouch Pro, left 5.3 grams and 4.5 grams, respectively. The overall average is 1.0 gram.

Comparison graphic for the Water Left Behind test. The Roborock QRevo CurvX shows 2.2 g of water left behind, the iRobot Roomba Plus 405 Combo shows 5.3 g, the Shark PowerDetect Thermacharged NeverTouch Pro shows 4.5 g, and the overall average is 1.0 g.
The QRevo CurvX is at 2.2 g for water left behind—above the 1.0 g test average, and yet more conservative than several competing robot vacuum mop combos in the lineup. © Vacuum Wars

Reducing the penalty for high water usage significantly elevated the CurvX. After our update, it jumped to #2 overall on our leaderboard, making it the highest-ranked robot vacuum in this pricing tier.

The Roborock CurvX robot vacuum includes nearly every major premium feature: embedded LiDAR, advanced software, high performance on multiple surfaces, and exceptional reliability. Roborock also recently won our Customer Service Award, which speaks to the brand’s support reputation.

Overall, the Roborock CurvX delivers a flagship-level experience that works extremely well right out of the box.

The Roborock Qrevo CurvX is a robot vacuum-mop combo engineered for truly hands-free cleaning that delivers an impressive 22,000 Pa HyperForce suction. With a Dual Anti-Tangle System and a DuoDivide main brush it handles deep carpet debris, pet fur, and long hair. Its ultra-slim profile—just 3.14″ tall—lets it access dust hiding under sofas and cabinets, while the AdaptiLift Chassis lifts the entire unit up to 4 cm to smoothly traverse thresholds and navigate furniture legs. Mop care is high tech: dual-spinning mops, 80 °C hot water mop washing plus dock self-cleaning, warm air drying, auto tank refilling, auto dust emptying, and a detachable base make maintenance easy. Navigation is powered by RetractSense LiDAR, which automatically retracts under low furniture into a 100° rear field of view and extends for full 360° scans when clear. Reactive AI obstacle recognition system with structured light and RGB camera detects and avoids 108 object types. Control options include Amazon Echo/Google Home and “Hello Rocky” voice assistant. The multifunctional Dock 3.0 Thermo+ not only washes, dries and empties, but also offers intelligent dirt detection—while pet owners will appreciate video call / two-way voice features and automatic pet detection and avoidance. Best Robot Vacuum From $1,600 to $2,500+: Dreame Matrix10

The highest price category ($1,600 to $2,500) is reserved for highly experimental or ultra-premium robot vacuums featuring cutting-edge technology.

Product pricing changes often, and we update our rankings accordingly. To see if the Dreame Matrix10 remains our Best Robot Vacuum from $1,600 to $2,500+, check the latest results here.

One example is the Roborock Saros Z70 with its auto-extending grabber arm: a unique and very novel feature, but with limited real-world usefulness relative to its price.

On the left, the robot is on hardwood flooring using the arm to lift a piece of trash toward a small bin while a sock lies nearby. On the right, the robot is shown in a studio shot with the arm fully raised against a green background, highlighting the experimental grabber design.
Saros Z70 can use its auto-extending grabber arm to pick up small items, but in our experience, the feature feels more experimental than essential for an ultra-premium robot vacuum.

Our pick in this ultra-premium category is the Dreame Matrix10.

Its headline feature is the multi-mop switching dock, which includes three separate mop pads and three separate reservoirs for different cleaning solutions. The robot vacuum will automatically switch mop pads depending on the room or flooring type.

The top right frame is a close-up of the dock’s floor area with mop pads and small ramps. The bottom left frame shows the inside of the dock door with multiple circular mop pads stored in color-coded rows. The bottom right frame shows a removable cartridge with three labeled compartments, marked A, B, and C, for different cleaning solutions.

The multi-mop switching dock allows for optimized cleaning routines and helps maintain better hygiene, such as keeping bathroom and kitchen mop pads separate.

In most respects, the Matrix10 is a solid performer. However, its vacuuming performance didn’t surpass the Dreame L50 Ultra in our evaluations. So for now, that robot vacuum remains ranked higher overall. We’ve also spotted some real-world quirks, such as the Matrix 10 getting stuck more often than expected. We’ll cover this more in a future review.

In the top-right panel, it sits in a test pen on carpet scattered with colorful debris. In the bottom-left panel, the Matrix10 works on a white hard floor test board with a ring of dark debris. In the bottom-right panel, it’s next to a door and appears to be stuck during a cleaning run.

Even so, the Dreame Matrix10 robot vacuum and mop is our top pick for the ultra-premium price bracket, even though some lower-priced models outperformed it in some areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

How did you choose winners in each price range?

We divided robot vacuums into price brackets and compared models within each tier using our standardized tests. Those evaluations include factors like airflow, carpet deep cleaning, mopping performance, pet hair pickup, navigation, and obstacle avoidance, along with real-world usability and reliability indicators.

Do your rankings change when prices change or new models launch?

Yes. Robot vacuum prices and availability change frequently, so we revisit our rankings as new models are released or as pricing shifts. That’s why each price-range section includes a note and link where readers can check whether a given robot is still our winner in that category.

Are all of your winners robot vacuum mop combos?

Most of the top robots in this guide are robot vacuum mop combos, because mopping has become a key differentiator in modern models. However, we still evaluate vacuuming performance separately and don’t recommend a robot based on mopping alone. Strong vacuuming performance and solid navigation remain essential.

How independent are your reviews and rankings?

We purchase every product ourselves and do not accept sponsorships from manufacturers. That allows us to stay independent when we run tests and assign scores. We also maintain a separate, frequently updated Vacuum Wars Top 20 Robot Vacuums List, which reflects our latest test data and any changes in the market.

Vacuum Wars independently buys and tests every vacuum and floorcare product we review—providing unbiased, data-driven insights so you can make informed buying decisions and find the right technology for your home. Read more about how we test robot vacuums.
