Eufy MarsWalker and RoboVac Omni S2 Debut at IFA 2025

Update (Late March 2026): The Eufy OMNI S2 has now launched after a short delay. More details about its features and enhancements from the OMNI S1 are available in our First Look: EUFY S2 review.

At IFA 2025 in Berlin, Eufy unveiled two of its most ambitious smart cleaning innovations yet: the MarsWalker, a stair-climbing platform designed to carry robot vacuums between floors, and the Eufy Omni S2, the company’s newest flagship robot vacuum and mop combo. Together, these products aim to solve one of the longest-standing challenges in the industry—true multi-level cleaning autonomy, allowing robot vacuums to seamlessly climb stairs and reach multiple floors without human intervention.

Eufy MarsWalker: A Stair-Climbing Solution for Robot Vacuums

Eufy’s MarsWalker acts like a stairlift for robot vacuums, where the platform uses four independently controlled arms paired with a drive-track system to grip and climb up and down stairs.

The MarsWalker is designed to hold a compatible robot vacuum, transporting it between floors before releasing it to continue cleaning or return to its base station. It can handle straight, L-shaped, and U-shaped staircases and builds a 3D map of the home to understand where and when to move the vacuum.

While the MarsWalker doesn’t clean stairs directly, it eliminates the need for owners to carry a vacuum between levels or buy multiple units. It includes its own charging dock and is slated for release in the first half of 2026. Pricing has not yet been announced.

Compatible with the Eufy Omni S2

One of the first robots designed to integrate with the MarsWalker will be the Eufy Omni S2, also showcased at IFA 2025. Launching in the U.S. in January 2026 for $1,599, the Omni S2 builds on the S1 Pro with more power, smarter navigation, and new convenience features.

Key specs include:

  • 30,000Pa suction power
  • 3.3 lbs of downward mopping pressure
  • 15mm mop extension to reach baseboards
  • DuoSpiral anti-tangle brush
  • 3D ToF sensor, RGB camera, and LED lights for improved obstacle avoidance

The mop can also lift up to 2 inches to avoid wetting carpets, while the vacuum can cross thresholds up to 4.2 cm.

A New Level of Cleaning Autonomy

Eufy says the MarsWalker and Omni S2 will work seamlessly together, creating what it calls a “whole-home cleaning solution.” Once one floor is complete, the vacuum can dock with the MarsWalker, ascend or descend stairs, and continue cleaning on the next level.

The S2 also introduces a built-in fragrance system with scent options like citrus, basil, bergamot, and lychee. Its all-in-one station manages bin emptying, mop washing and drying, auto-refilling, and sterilizing the mop rollers with electrolyzed water.

Availability

  • Omni S2 → Launching January 2026 in the U.S.
  • MarsWalker → Expected release in spring 2026.

Together, these products position Eufy as one of the first brands to attempt a practical solution for multi-level cleaning. While the MarsWalker raises questions about cost and compatibility, its appearance at IFA 2025 represents a major step forward in the evolution of robot vacuums.
