Best (July 2026) Carpet Cleaners

Every month, Vacuum Wars publishes a “snapshot” article highlighting our Best Overall, Best Value, and Best Budget carpet cleaner picks. Unlike our continuously updated “Best” lists, these reports take a closer look at why each model earned its position and how it compares to competing options based on our latest testing and current market conditions.

For July 2026, our selections are based on the same standardized test protocol and scoring system used across the Vacuum Wars carpet cleaner database, which now includes nearly 30 major models. This includes controlled, repeatable evaluations such as colorimeter-based stain reduction testing, along with suction and water extraction measurements designed to reflect real-world cleaning performance. We also incorporate long-term owner feedback and consumer satisfaction data as part of our overall scoring methodology.

This month’s rankings are largely stable compared with June. The Shark CarpetXpert EX151 remains our Best Overall Carpet Cleaner thanks to its excellent combination of stain-removal performance, extraction power, ease of use, lightweight handling, and owner satisfaction. It also remains our Best Value pick because its current pricing continues to make it one of the strongest performance-per-dollar options in the category.

That means July continues the unusual situation we saw last month: the same carpet cleaner holds both the Best Overall and Best Value positions. While those categories are often occupied by different products, the EX151 currently delivers enough performance at a low enough price that it remains difficult to separate the two awards.

This month, we are also adding a Best Value Runner-Up position for the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F. It does not overtake the Shark CarpetXpert EX151, but it gives shoppers a strong value alternative.

Meanwhile, the Bissell TurboClean Pet XL retains its position as our Best Budget pick. It continues to offer competitive cleaning results, useful full-size features, and strong overall value at the lower end of the carpet cleaner market.

While our Top 10 Carpet Cleaner rankings are continuously updated, this monthly feature focuses on detailed, category-by-category analysis to provide additional context behind each selection and explain how changing market conditions can affect the rankings over time.

July 2026: What Changed and Why It Matters

July did not bring a major shakeup at the top of our carpet cleaner rankings, but it did confirm the value shift that first appeared in June.

The Shark CarpetXpert EX151 remains our Best Overall Carpet Cleaner thanks to its strong stain-removal performance, excellent extraction, lightweight handling, practical hose system, and strong owner satisfaction scores. It also remains our Best Value pick because its current pricing continues to make it unusually competitive against both midrange and premium carpet cleaners.

That is the key story for July. In a typical month, Best Overall and Best Value are different machines. The Best Overall pick usually delivers the strongest total performance regardless of price, while the Best Value pick offers the best balance of performance and affordability. But with the EX151 still priced aggressively, those two lanes continue to overlap.

This does not mean the category is stagnant. It means the current market conditions continue to favor a machine that was already one of the strongest performers in our database. The EX151’s combination of stain removal, extraction, usability, and price remains difficult for competitors to beat.

The other meaningful change for July is the addition of a Best Value Runner-Up position. The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F does not overtake the Shark CarpetXpert EX151, but it gives shoppers a strong value alternative with a more traditional full-size Bissell design. Its 89.5 stain test score also keeps it very close to the EX151 in stain-removal performance, even though the Shark remains the stronger overall value based on its higher Vacuum Wars score, lighter design, and current pricing.

Meanwhile, the Bissell TurboClean Pet XL remains our Best Budget Carpet Cleaner. It continues to stand out because it delivers practical full-size features, competitive stain-removal performance, and a useful hose-and-attachment setup at a lower price than many competing models.

As always, our rankings reflect more than one test result. In addition to controlled evaluations such as stain removal, suction, and extraction testing, we also consider usability, feature sets, pricing, and long-term owner feedback. July’s rankings show how price stability can matter just as much as new product launches when determining which carpet cleaners offer the strongest value.

Best Overall Carpet Cleaner: Shark CarpetXpert EX151

Vacuum Wars Score: 72.28 ⭐

The Shark CarpetXpert EX151 remains our Best Overall Carpet Cleaner for July 2026. It continues to hold the top position because it delivers the strongest overall combination of cleaning performance, usability, owner satisfaction, and value among the nearly 30 carpet cleaners we’ve tested.

What remains especially impressive is that the EX151 continues to compete successfully against two of the category’s most feature-rich premium models: Shark’s flagship Shark CarpetXpert EX301 or EX304 (see our review) and the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam (see our review). Both offer additional premium features and higher price tags, yet neither established a meaningful enough advantage in our overall scoring system to overtake the EX151.

That balance is what continues to separate the EX151 from the rest of the field. Rather than excelling in only one area, it performs well across the metrics that matter most to real-world carpet cleaning.

The Shark CarpetXpert EX151 is a lightweight hybrid carpet cleaner designed to balance performance and value, and testing showed it largely succeeds. It weighs just 15.9 pounds, making it easier to maneuver than the roughly 20-pound category average, and features strong ergonomics, a 25-foot cord, and a convenient built-in hose system for spot cleaning, stairs, and upholstery without extra setup. Attachments like the reversible bristle tool, wide path tool, and integrated crevice tool add versatility. In testing, it delivered above-average unsealed suction at the floor head and excellent stain removal, scoring near the top in a controlled grape juice stain test using timed passes and color measurement. However, there are downsides: its small 0.6-gallon water tank requires frequent refills on larger jobs, the 5-foot hose is shorter than average, and sealed hose suction tested slightly below average. Despite these issues, it ranked highly overall, offering near-flagship cleaning performance at a lower price, making it a strong value pick for users wanting effective cleaning, easy handling, and solid test-proven results. This combination of performance metrics and usability features helped it secure a top-three ranking among tested carpet cleaners in recent evaluations. See additional info

Why it Earned Best Overall

The EX151 earned Best Overall because it delivers premium-level cleaning performance while avoiding many of the tradeoffs associated with larger, more expensive carpet cleaners.

The Shark CarpetXpert HairPro/StainStriker EX304 is the closest competitor on paper. It offers stronger hose suction, additional attachments, a longer hose, and Shark’s premium HairPro and StainStriker systems. However, despite costing significantly more, it produced virtually identical stain-removal results in our testing. Once owner satisfaction and value were factored into the equation, the EX151 maintained the advantage.

The Bissell Revolution HydroSteam approaches carpet cleaning from a different direction, adding steam functionality, heated water, temperature maintenance, and multiple cleaning modes. Those are useful features for some users, but the HydroSteam ultimately fell short of the EX151 in both stain-removal performance and overall review score while carrying a substantially higher purchase price.

Neither premium competitor was able to establish a meaningful enough performance advantage to justify overtaking the EX151, which is why it remains our top recommendation this month.

Shark CarpetXpert EX151 Stain Test Score: 90.1 (Avg 83.5)

The EX151 achieved a stain-removal score of 90.1, significantly outperforming the category average of 83.5 and ranking among the strongest performers in our carpet cleaner database.

Shark CarpetXpert EX151 stain test on white carpet showing cleaning performance

Perhaps more importantly, it achieved that score while competing directly against some of the most expensive carpet cleaners we’ve tested. Shark’s flagship EX304 scored 90.5, while the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam scored 85.1. In practical terms, the EX151 matched the cleaning performance of Shark’s flagship model and substantially outperformed the HydroSteam in our controlled stain-removal testing.

Our testing suggests that additional premium features do not necessarily result in substantially better stain-removal performance. The EX151’s results demonstrate that effective cleaning comes from the overall system working together rather than from any single premium feature.

Shark CarpetXpert EX151 Suction and Extraction

The EX151 also posted outstanding extraction performance. In our testing, it produced 12.4 kPa of usable floor suction, well above the category average of 7.26 kPa and significantly higher than both the EX304 (8.7 kPa) and HydroSteam (4.24 kPa).

Strong floor-level suction helps remove more dirty water from carpet fibers during cleaning, which can improve cleaning effectiveness and reduce drying times.

The EX304 does offer stronger sealed hose suction and may appeal to users who prioritize above-floor cleaning, upholstery, or stairs. Likewise, the HydroSteam offers unique steam-assisted cleaning modes. However, for the primary task of cleaning carpet, the EX151’s extraction performance remains among the best we’ve measured.

Capacity and Practical Design Advantages

One of the reasons the EX151 continues to score so well is that it balances strong cleaning performance with everyday usability.

At just 15.9 pounds, it is lighter than both the EX304 (18.8 pounds) and the HydroSteam (22 pounds), making it easier to maneuver, carry, and store. Its integrated hose system and included attachments provide strong versatility without adding significant bulk or complexity.

The built-in hose design remains one of the EX151’s most practical advantages. Unlike some carpet cleaners that require additional setup before spot cleaning, the EX151 allows users to quickly transition from floor cleaning to upholstery, stairs, and spot-cleaning tasks. That convenience helps make it one of the most user-friendly carpet cleaners we’ve tested.

The EX304 does include more attachments, a longer hose, and Shark’s onboard hose self-cleaning system, while the HydroSteam offers a larger tank and additional specialty cleaning modes. Those upgrades may appeal to specific users. However, they also come with higher costs, heavier designs, and in the case of both competitors, lower overall consumer satisfaction scores.

Shark CarpetXpert EX151 using built-in hose attachment for spot cleaning

The primary tradeoff with the EX151 remains tank capacity. At 0.6 gallons, its clean-water tank is smaller than many traditional carpet cleaners, including the HydroSteam’s 1-gallon tank. Users cleaning very large carpeted areas may need to refill more frequently. However, that smaller tank is also one reason the EX151 remains noticeably lighter and easier to maneuver than many competing full-size machines.

The EX151 continues to stand out not only in testing, but also in real-world ownership. At the time of our analysis, it maintained a higher average customer rating and a substantially lower percentage of 1-star reviews than either premium competitor.

The Bottom Line

The Shark CarpetXpert HairPro/StainStriker EX304 and Bissell Revolution HydroSteam are both excellent carpet cleaners and remain among the strongest premium options we’ve tested.

The EX304 offers more accessories, stronger hose performance, and Shark’s most feature-rich carpet-cleaning platform. The HydroSteam adds steam cleaning, heated-water functionality, and greater capacity for extended cleaning sessions. Yet neither model was able to produce meaningfully better cleaning results than the Shark CarpetXpert EX151.

With a stain-removal score of 90.1, class-leading extraction performance, lighter handling, stronger owner satisfaction, and a much lower price than its premium rivals, the EX151 continues to offer the best overall combination of performance, practicality, and value.

For July 2026, it remains our Best Overall Carpet Cleaner.

Best Value Carpet Cleaner: Shark CarpetXpert EX151

Vacuum Wars Score: 72.28 ⭐

For July 2026, the Shark CarpetXpert EX151 is, once again, both our Best Overall and Best Value Carpet Cleaner.

Normally, those categories are occupied by different products. Our Best Overall pick typically offers the strongest total performance, while our Best Value pick delivers the best balance of performance and affordability. However, the EX151’s current pricing continues to make that distinction harder to draw.

The Shark CarpetXpert EX151 is a lightweight hybrid carpet cleaner designed to balance performance and value, and testing showed it largely succeeds. Why it Earned Best Value

The EX151 was already the highest-ranked carpet cleaner in our database before its recent price reduction. It combines one of the highest stain-removal scores we’ve recorded with exceptional extraction performance, lightweight handling, strong usability, and excellent owner satisfaction.

At its previous pricing, it occupied a more traditional premium position in the market. Today, however, it is available much closer to the price range of several mid-tier competitors, making its performance advantage far more difficult to ignore.

In our testing, the EX151 achieved a stain-removal score of 90.1, well above the category average of 83.5, while producing 12.4 kPa of usable floor suction—among the strongest extraction results in our database. Combined with its integrated hose system, lightweight design, and strong consumer feedback, it now offers a level of performance that is difficult to match at its current price.

Best Value Runner-Up: Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F

Vacuum Wars Score: 66.58 ⭐

The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F is our Best Value Runner-Up for July 2026. While the Shark CarpetXpert EX151 remains our Best Value pick thanks to its stronger overall score and current pricing, the Bissell 3588F gives shoppers a compelling alternative with a more traditional full-size carpet cleaner design and a strong pet-focused feature set.

It is especially notable for its combination of above-average stain-removal performance, large-capacity tanks, long cord, extended hose reach, and included attachments. For shoppers who want a Bissell carpet cleaner with more reach and larger cleaning capacity than the EX151, the 3588F is a strong secondary recommendation.

The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F is a powerhouse in the realm of home carpet cleaning, especially for those with pets. Its innovative CleanShot technology allows for precise targeting and treatment of stubborn stains, enhancing its effectiveness. The dual tank system maintains the separation of clean and dirty water, optimizing the cleaning process. With multiple cleaning modes, including a quick-drying Express Clean and a comprehensive Deep Clean, this machine is adept at handling a variety of cleaning tasks. Additionally, the inclusion of a hose and multiple attachments extends its utility to upholstery and stairs, making it a versatile tool for thorough home cleaning.

Why it Earned Best Value Runner-Up

The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F earned this runner-up position because it offers a strong balance of performance, features, and practical usability at a competitive price.

Its Vacuum Wars Overall Score of 66.58 puts it below the Shark CarpetXpert EX151, but still firmly among the stronger carpet cleaners in our database. Its stain test score of 89.5 is also one of its biggest strengths, placing it well above the category average and close to the EX151’s 90.1 stain score.

That makes the 3588F a particularly good option for shoppers who want strong stain-removal performance but prefer Bissell’s platform, pet-focused tools, and more traditional upright carpet cleaner layout.

Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F Stain Test Score: 89.5

The 3588F performed very well in our stain-removal testing, earning a score of 89.5. That is only slightly behind the Shark CarpetXpert EX151’s 90.1 score, showing that the Bissell remains highly competitive in the most important carpet cleaner test category.

This is one of the main reasons it works well as a Value Runner-Up. While the EX151 remains the better overall pick, the 3588F delivers strong enough cleaning performance to remain a serious alternative, especially for homes with pets or recurring stain issues.

Capacity and Practical Design Advantages

The Bissell 3588F also has several practical advantages that help it stand out from a value perspective.

  • It has a 1-gallon tank capacity, which is larger than the Shark EX151’s 0.6-gallon tank. That makes it better suited for larger carpeted areas or longer cleaning sessions where fewer refills are preferred.
  • It also includes a 35-foot cord and an 8-foot hose, both of which give it more reach than many competing carpet cleaners.
  • The included 2-in-1 Pet Upholstery Tool and 3-inch Tough Stain Tool also make it useful for stairs, upholstery, pet messes, and spot-cleaning jobs.
  • At 17.5 pounds, it is lighter than some larger premium carpet cleaners, but still heavier than the Shark EX151. That puts it in a reasonable middle ground between full-size capability and manageable handling.

Pet-Focused Features and Cleaning Modes

The 3588F is also designed around pet cleanup and targeted stain treatment. Its CleanShot feature allows users to apply extra cleaning solution directly to stubborn spots, which can be useful for pet stains and high-traffic areas. It also has multiple cleaning modes, including Express Clean for faster-drying maintenance cleaning and Deep Clean for more thorough carpet washing.

The dual-tank system keeps clean and dirty water separate, while the auto-dispensing system helps simplify solution management during cleaning. It also keeps water heated, which adds another practical advantage for users who want a more feature-rich carpet cleaner without moving into the highest-priced tier.

Why it Remains Behind the Shark EX151

The Bissell 3588F is a strong value pick, but the Shark CarpetXpert EX151 remains the stronger overall recommendation for July.

The EX151 has a higher Vacuum Wars Score, slightly higher stain-removal score, stronger overall testing profile, lighter handling, and a current price that continues to make it difficult to beat. It also remains our Best Overall pick, which gives it an unusually strong case in the Value category as well.

The Bissell’s strongest advantages are its larger tank, longer cord, longer hose, and pet-focused tool package. That makes it a better fit for shoppers who prioritize reach, capacity, and Bissell’s more traditional carpet cleaner design. But for most shoppers, the EX151 remains the better balance of performance, usability, and value.

The Bottom Line

The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F gives July’s rankings a useful second value option. It does not displace the Shark CarpetXpert EX151, but it does offer strong stain-removal performance, practical pet-focused tools, larger tanks, and better reach than the Shark.

For shoppers who want a full-size Bissell carpet cleaner with strong stain performance and more traditional carpet-cleaning features, the 3588F is our Best Value Runner-Up for July 2026.

Best Budget Carpet Cleaner – Bissell TurboClean Pet XL

Vacuum Wars Score: 43.55 ⭐

The Bissell TurboClean Pet XL retains its position as our Best Budget Carpet Cleaner for July 2026. While there was no major change in the Budget category this month, the TurboClean continues to stand out because it delivers a level of cleaning performance and versatility that is difficult to match at its price point.

Budget carpet cleaners often require significant compromises in cleaning performance, capacity, or features. The TurboClean Pet XL is notable because it avoids many of those tradeoffs. Although it costs substantially less than our Best Overall and Best Value picks, it remains surprisingly competitive in real-world cleaning performance while offering features that are often absent from lower-priced alternatives.

Upright blue-and-black floor scrubber on a rug in a living room, ready for use near a brown sofa.

The Bissell TurboClean Pet XL 3746 stands out as a strong value carpet cleaner, retailing around $160—roughly half the cost of flagship models—while outperforming many budget competitors with features like a 7-foot hose for above-floor cleaning and a versatile 3-in-1 tough stain tool. It has a one-gallon clean and dirty water tank, reducing refill frequency compared to similarly priced units, and weighs just 16.5 pounds, making it lighter and easier to maneuver than average. A 20-foot cord provides decent range, and its four-row DeepReach brush contributes to solid cleaning results. In testing, it achieved an average stain removal score on a standardized grape juice test—impressive given that it competed against over 30 models, including much more expensive machines. However, its 6-amp motor delivers below-average suction in both sealed and unsealed tests, which could impact performance on heavily embedded dirt. Despite this, it ranked 9th overall, offering excellent performance and features for the price. See additional info

Why it Earned Best Budget

The TurboClean Pet XL earned its position by offering one of the strongest combinations of affordability, cleaning performance, and practicality among the budget carpet cleaners we’ve tested.

Unlike many entry-level models that focus almost exclusively on keeping costs down, the TurboClean includes features that make it more useful for whole-home cleaning. It offers a hose system for above-floor cleaning, useful spot-cleaning attachments, and full-size one-gallon clean and dirty water tanks—features that are frequently reserved for more expensive carpet cleaners.

More importantly, its cleaning performance remained competitive in our testing despite its budget positioning.

Bissell TurboClean Pet XL Stain Test Score: 82.7 (Avg 83.5)

In Vacuum Wars’ standardized stain-removal testing, the TurboClean Pet XL achieved a score of 82.7, placing it very close to the category average of 83.5. That result is particularly impressive when viewed in context. Many of the carpet cleaners included in that average cost substantially more than the TurboClean, yet the Bissell remained competitive in overall stain-removal performance.

This remains one of the strongest reasons the TurboClean holds its position. While it does not match the cleaning performance of premium models like the Shark CarpetXpert EX151, it delivers results that are remarkably close considering the significant difference in price.

Suction and Extraction

The TurboClean Pet XL’s primary weakness remains raw suction power. Its floor suction and sealed hose suction measurements ranked below many of the higher-priced models in our database, and users tackling heavily soiled carpets or large restoration-style cleaning jobs may benefit from stepping up to a more powerful machine.

However, what makes the TurboClean noteworthy is that its real-world cleaning performance consistently exceeds what its power numbers alone would suggest. Its 4-Row DeepReach PowerBrush system appears to compensate for some of that deficit by providing strong agitation within carpet fibers, helping it achieve stain-removal results that remain competitive with significantly more expensive machines.

This continues to be one of the most interesting findings from our carpet cleaner testing: strong cleaning performance is not always determined by suction power alone.

The Bissell TurboClean Pet XL uses a 4-Row DeepReach PowerBrush designed to improve agitation deep within carpet fibers. © Vacuum Wars

Capacity and Practical Design Advantages

One of the TurboClean’s biggest advantages is that it feels more like a full-size carpet cleaner than a typical budget model. Its one-gallon clean-water tank and matching dirty-water tank provide significantly more capacity than many compact competitors, allowing users to clean larger areas without frequent interruptions. At the same time, its relatively lightweight design helps keep it easy to maneuver and store.

The included hose and attachments also help separate it from many lower-cost alternatives. For users who need to clean stairs, upholstery, pet beds, or occasional spot messes, those tools add versatility that is often missing from budget-oriented carpet cleaners.

The Bottom Line

The Bissell TurboClean Pet XL is not the most powerful carpet cleaner we’ve tested, nor does it offer the premium features found on higher-end models like the Shark CarpetXpert EX151. What it does offer is one of the strongest performance-per-dollar propositions in the lower end of the market. Its stain-removal performance remains competitive with far more expensive machines, while its full-size tanks, hose system, and practical feature set help it deliver a surprisingly complete ownership experience.

For shoppers focused on minimizing cost while still getting a capable carpet cleaner, the Bissell TurboClean Pet XL remains our Best Budget Carpet Cleaner for July 2026.

FAQ Carpet Cleaner Buying Guidance

Why is the Shark CarpetXpert EX151 both the Best Overall and Best Value carpet cleaner for July 2026?

The Shark CarpetXpert EX151 holds both positions because it combines the strongest overall performance in this month’s rankings with a current price that also makes it the best value. Its stain-removal performance, extraction power, lightweight handling, practical hose system, and owner satisfaction scores keep it ahead of higher-priced competitors.

Normally, Best Overall and Best Value are different picks. For July 2026, the EX151’s performance and current pricing make it difficult to separate the two categories.

What changed in the July 2026 carpet cleaner rankings?

The top picks remained mostly stable from June to July. The Shark CarpetXpert EX151 remains both Best Overall and Best Value, while the Bissell TurboClean Pet XL remains Best Budget.

The main July update is the addition of a Best Value Runner-Up position for the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F. This gives readers another strong value-oriented option while still recognizing that the EX151 remains the stronger overall value pick this month.

Why did Vacuum Wars add a Best Value Runner-Up?

Because the same machine currently holds both the Best Overall and Best Value positions, a runner-up helps clarify the next-best value alternative. The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F gives shoppers another strong option without overstating its position against the Shark CarpetXpert EX151.

The Bissell stands out for its strong stain-removal score, full-size design, one-gallon tanks, 35-foot cord, 8-foot hose, and pet-focused attachments. It is a useful alternative for shoppers who prefer Bissell’s platform or want more reach and capacity.

Is the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F better than the Shark CarpetXpert EX151?

Not overall. The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro+ 3588F is a strong value runner-up, but the Shark CarpetXpert EX151 remains the better overall recommendation for July 2026 because it has the higher Vacuum Wars score, slightly stronger stain-removal result, lighter design, and stronger overall value position.

The Bissell may be the better fit for shoppers who want a more traditional full-size carpet cleaner with larger tanks, a longer cord, a longer hose, and pet-focused tools. The Shark remains the stronger pick for most shoppers based on the current rankings.

Why is the Bissell TurboClean Pet XL still the Best Budget carpet cleaner?

The Bissell TurboClean Pet XL remains the Best Budget pick because it offers one of the strongest low-cost combinations of stain-removal performance, full-size tank capacity, hose cleaning, and practical attachments. It does not match the top-ranked models in power or premium features, but it remains unusually capable for its price range.

Its budget appeal comes from offering features often missing from lower-priced carpet cleaners, including one-gallon tanks and above-floor cleaning tools.

Does a higher-priced carpet cleaner always clean better?

No. Our carpet cleaner testing has shown that higher prices and more premium features do not always produce meaningfully better stain-removal performance. The Shark CarpetXpert EX151 is a good example because it remains highly competitive with more expensive carpet cleaners while costing less than many premium models.

That is why we evaluate stain removal, suction, extraction, usability, features, pricing, and owner feedback rather than relying on price or feature count alone.

What matters most when choosing a carpet cleaner?

The most important factors are stain-removal performance, water extraction, tank capacity, ease of use, hose and attachment usefulness, and long-term owner satisfaction. Strong suction can help with extraction and drying, but suction alone does not determine how well a carpet cleaner performs.

For most shoppers, the best choice is the machine that matches the way they clean. Larger homes may benefit from bigger tanks and longer reach, while smaller homes may be better served by a lighter machine that is easier to store and maneuver.
