The Dreame L60 Ultra PE is a midrange robot vacuum and mop with 30,000Pa Vormax suction, a tangle-resistant HyperStream DuoBrush, an extending side brush, dual spinning mop pads operating at 165 rpm with 13N of pressure, 10.5mm mop lift, LiDAR navigation, AI-camera and 3D ToF obstacle avoidance, Matter support, onboard voice control, and a dock that auto-empties, refills water and detergent, washes and self-cleans with boiling water, and dries the pads with hot air. In testing, it scored 94% in carpet deep cleaning, the second-highest result among nearly 200 robots, plus 100% flattened pet-hair pickup with 0% brush wrap. It avoided 21 of 24 obstacles, crossed 19mm thresholds but failed at 25mm, cleaned faster than average, and achieved above-average coverage per charge despite below-average battery efficiency. General pickup was strong, though fine debris scattered slightly on hard floors, crevice pickup was average, stain removal was below average due to low water output, suction and airflow bench scores were low, and the dustbin is small. Dreame’s app offers granular controls, schedules, no-go and no-mop zones, and floor-direction cleaning. Even with a handful of average scores, the L60 Ultra PE was an impressive robot, all the more so for its price range. Why We Chose the Dreame L60 Ultra PE
The Dreame L60 Ultra PE stands out for delivering unusually strong carpet cleaning, excellent pet-hair pickup, and capable obstacle avoidance in a robot vacuum positioned below Dreame’s most advanced L60 models. In our review, its practical cleaning results were considerably more impressive than some of its individual suction and airflow measurements suggested.
It is a particularly appealing choice for homes with carpet, shedding pets, or long hair. The automated dock also takes care of dustbin emptying, mop washing, drying, water refilling, and detergent dispensing. Its main compromise is mopping: the hardware is convenient, but the robot did not remove dried-on stains as well as the average model in our tests.
Exceptional Carpet Deep Cleaning
The L60 Ultra PE removed 94% of embedded sand from medium-pile carpet in our deep-cleaning evaluation, compared with a 78% category average reported in the review. That was the second-highest result we had recorded among nearly 200 robot vacuums at the time of testing. Its closely related L60 Ultra FE sibling removed 80% in the same evaluation.
Dreame rates the PE’s Vormax suction system at 30,000 Pa, and the robot uses its HyperStream DuoBrush dual-roller system. While a manufacturer’s suction rating does not by itself prove superior cleaning, the PE’s measured sand pickup provides compelling evidence of its carpet-cleaning ability.
Outstanding Pet Hair Pickup With No Hair Wrap
Pet owners have another reason to consider the PE. It collected 100% of flattened 2.5-inch pet hair from carpet, compared with the 82% category average. The L60 Ultra FE collected 51% in the same test. This test is particularly useful because compressed hair can be more difficult to remove than loose surface debris.
The PE also recorded 0% hair wrap in our seven-inch hair-tangle test, versus a category average of 26%. Its tapered HyperStream brushes are designed to direct hair into the dustbin instead of allowing it to accumulate on the rollers. The extending side brush helps cover edges and corners, although we did observe a little fine-debris scattering on hard floors.
Obstacle Avoidance That Makes a Practical Difference
A robot vacuum’s cleaning performance matters less if it routinely gets stuck on household clutter. The L60 Ultra PE avoided 21 of 24 objects in our obstacle-avoidance course, compared with the category average of 16. Its AI camera and 3D time-of-flight sensors give it a more advanced system than the laser-based obstacle detection on the L60 Ultra FE, which avoided only 2 of 24 objects in our evaluation.
The PE’s results make it a better candidate for busy homes where small objects may be left on the floor, although no obstacle-avoidance system should be treated as infallible. Threshold climbing is more ordinary: it crossed a 19 mm threshold but could not clear 25 mm. Buyers with particularly tall doorway transitions should take that limitation into account.
A Highly Automated Dock
The PE’s multifunction dock goes well beyond charging. It automatically empties the robot’s dustbin, washes the mop pads with boiling water, dries them with hot air, refills water, and dispenses detergent. It also uses boiling water to clean the dock itself. Dreame advertises up to 100 days of debris storage in the disposable bag, though actual replacement intervals depend on the household.
The robot uses two spinning mop pads, one of which extends toward edges, and raises them by 10.5 mm when carpet is detected. Its app supports room-by-room adjustments, scheduled cleaning, no-go and no-mop zones, and floor-direction cleaning. Voice control and Matter support add more ways to integrate it into a smart home.
The Main Compromise: Dried-Stain Removal
The L60 Ultra PE has capable mopping hardware, but it was not among the strongest robots for stubborn dried stains. In our evaluation it scored 85 points, compared with a 108-point category average. We measured low water output even after increasing the water setting, which appeared to limit its ability to loosen dried residue.
Its combined mopping score was 30.4, slightly below the 30.8 category average. This is the corrected figure from our written review; an earlier video mistakenly described the result as above average. The PE remains a useful option for regular maintenance mopping, but households dealing with frequent dried spills should consider stronger stain-removal alternatives.
Efficient Navigation and Above-Average Estimated Coverage
The L60 Ultra PE uses top-mounted LiDAR for mapping and navigation. It cleaned at 0.74 square meters per minute, slightly faster than the 0.71 category average. Battery efficiency was a little below average at 1.49 minutes per 1% of battery, compared with 1.56 minutes, but the efficient cleaning route helped compensate.
Our estimated coverage was 1,202 square feet per charge, compared with a 1,170-square-foot average. The robot also supports recharge and resume, making the mildly below-average battery-efficiency result less consequential for larger cleaning jobs.

The PE does not win every evaluation, but its strongest results address the tasks many buyers care about most: removing embedded dirt, picking up pet hair, limiting brush maintenance, and avoiding obstacles. The reasons we recommend giving it serious consideration are straightforward:
