Dyson has released a new cordless stick vacuum in the U.S., the Dyson Digital Slim. This new release is engineered to be 33% lighter than the Dyson V11 model, aiming to offer a balance of power and lightweight design.
Dyson Digital Slim
The Dyson Digital Slim is a good fit for smaller homes and anyone who wants a cordless vacuum that is easier to use for handheld cleaning. In our studio evaluations, it paired strong suction and debris pickup with effective hair-tangle resistance and sealed filtration. Its removable battery and LCD runtime display add convenience, but the small dustbin and shorter battery life make it better suited to quick cleanups than extended sessions. It earned our 2025 Best Lightweight Cordless Vacuum award. See additional info
Design and Build
The Dyson Digital Slim is a compact vacuum weighing 4.4 pounds, with dimensions of 43.3 inches in height and 9.8 inches in both length and width.
Versatility and Accessories
Designed for whole-home cleaning, the Digital Slim can be used as a handheld vacuum for cleaning cars, stairs, and upholstery. It comes with three Dyson-engineered accessories:
- Motorbar Cleaner Head: Suitable for all floor types, it deep cleans and features 43 de-tangling vanes that automatically remove long hair and pet hair from the brush bar.
- Combination Tool: A two-in-one tool with a wide nozzle and brush for quick switching between tasks.
- Crevice Tool: Engineered for precise cleaning around edges and into narrow spaces.
Ease of Use
It includes a 0.1-gallon bin, and its no-touch emptying mechanism enables users to dispose of dirt and dust with a single, hygienic action. The Digital Slim also comes with a docking station to recharge and neatly store the vacuum and attachments, so that it is always ready for use.
Cleaning Modes and Controls
The vacuum features three cleaning modes—eco, medium, and boost—to cater to different cleaning needs. An LCD screen displays the selected power mode, remaining run time to the second, and maintenance alerts, giving users control over their cleaning sessions.
Performance and Suction Power
Equipped with a Dyson Hyperdymium motor that spins up to 120,000 rpm, the vacuum delivers up to 100 air watts (AW) of suction power in its powerful mode. Users can expect up to 40 minutes runtime when operating in eco mode.
Filtration System
The vacuum employs advanced whole-machine filtration that traps 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, effectively capturing dust and pet dander. This system ensures that the air expelled is cleaner, contributing to improved indoor air quality.
