Hoover has added two upright carpet cleaners to its lineup: the AllOut Plus and AllOut Lux. Both combine automatic washing and water extraction with a dedicated StainShot system for stubborn stains and a VacTrap system that collects hair and debris. The biggest difference is their reach: the Plus focuses on carpet cleaning, while the Lux adds an integrated hose and tools for stairs and upholstery.
What the new Hoover AllOut models share
The AllOut Plus and Lux use movement-based controls: pushing forward washes the carpet, and pulling backward extracts water. This removes the need to hold a solution trigger during normal floor cleaning. Automatic wash-and-extraction controls are already part of Hoover’s SmartWash range; the AllOut releases pair that approach with StainShot and VacTrap.
StainShot uses a separate tank to deliver an extra dose of cleaning solution at the press of a button. Hoover claims up to twice the stain and odor elimination when its Pro Ultimate solution is used with StainShot solution, compared with Pro Ultimate solution alone. That claim concerns the specified formula combination, rather than a claim that either machine cleans twice as well overall.
Both models also feature VacTrap, which Hoover describes as a system for capturing hair and debris, and edge-to-edge suction designed to improve water recovery. A Dry Only mode allows additional extraction passes without dispensing more cleaning liquid. Drying here refers to removing water from the carpet, rather than leaving it immediately dry.
AllOut Plus: the floor-focused model
The AllOut Plus, model FH57000, is the more affordable option. It includes the shared stain-treatment, debris-collection, and automatic cleaning features, but its listed package does not include the Lux’s hose and upholstery tools.
Its Amazon listing specifies a 0.48-gallon capacity and a 22-foot power cord. Included accessories are trial-size bottles of Pro Ultimate and StainShot cleaning solutions.
Hoover AllOut+ (FH57000)
The Hoover AllOut+ FH57000 is an upright carpet cleaner that, according to Hoover, automatically washes as it moves forward and extracts water as it moves backward. Its StainShot system dispenses an extra dose of cleaning solution for targeted stain treatment, while VacTrap captures hair and debris to help prevent clogs. Hoover also says the edge-to-edge suction nozzle extracts water across the cleaning path and that Dry Only mode enables water extraction in both directions. Trial bottles of Pro Ultimate and StainShot cleaning solutions are included. Vacuum Wars has not yet tested this product. See additional info
AllOut Lux: a hose and more cleaning tools
The AllOut Lux, model FH58000, extends the same basic cleaning approach to furniture, carpeted stairs, and other areas that require a hand tool. Its integrated hose is the main functional upgrade over the Plus.
The linked Lux package includes a 4-inch All-Purpose Tool, Pet Tool, SpinScrub brush attachment, storage tray, and trial-size cleaning solutions. Amazon lists the Lux at 15 pounds, with the same 0.48-gallon capacity and 22-foot cord listed for the Plus.
