Roborock F25 Ultra Overview
The Roborock F25 Ultra is a cordless hard floor cleaner, also known as a vacuum-mop combo or wet-dry vacuum, that vacuums and washes floors at the same time. To use it, fill the clean water tank with water and the included cleaning solution, turn it on, and clean your floors as you would with a traditional cordless vacuum.

As for how the Roborock F25 Ultra works, the soft roller is continuously sprayed with clean water while a squeegee system removes dirty water from the roller and directs it into the dirty water tank. Because it can pick up dry debris while mopping, it functions as both a vacuum and a mop in one machine.

It can go over rugs like most floor washing vacuums, but we wouldn’t recommend it for serious carpet cleaning since it still applies water and isn’t designed for deep-cleaning rugs.
When you finish cleaning, the F25 Ultra automatically runs a self-cleaning cycle. You’ll still need to empty and rinse the dirty water tank afterward, but overall maintenance is fairly straightforward.

What Makes the Roborock F25 Ultra Different?
The F25 Ultra stands out from competing hard floor cleaners with its VaporFlow and WaveFlow systems. These are two completely separate high-temperature cleaning modes integrated into one cordless machine.
VaporFlow Steam Cleaning System
VaporFlow is the steam cleaning mode. It heats water internally to around 356°F and releases steam through six outlets aimed directly at the floor. The purpose of the steam mode is to loosen stubborn dried-on messes, stuck-on residue, and bacteria without relying heavily on the cleaning solution. That makes it especially useful for sanitizing tasks or difficult messes.
WaveFlow Hot Water Cleaning System
WaveFlow is the hot water cleaning mode. Here, the machine heats water to approximately 187°F and distributes it through 32 nozzles that evenly saturate the roller with heated water. This mode is specifically geared toward greasy buildup in kitchens and dining areas where heat helps dissolve oils and residue more effectively.

Anti-Scale Protection System
The F25 Ultra also includes an anti-scale system designed to protect the internal pipes from mineral buildup for up to three years, which is important in a machine using steam and heated water systems this aggressively.
Roborock F25 Ultra Cleaning Performance and Stain Removal Results
At Vacuum Wars, we evaluate hard floor cleaners using a standardized stain-removal assessment involving dried-on, cold-pressed coffee stains of varying difficulty and point values.
The evaluation includes four rounds with two timed passes per row. Machines earn more points the earlier they remove each stain.
Stain Removal
In Auto Mode, the Roborock F25 Ultra scored 141 points in our updated stain removal evaluation. That’s slightly above the current category average of 139 points across all hard floor cleaners assessed.

But stain removal alone doesn’t tell us everything. Over the years, we’ve found that some vacuum mop combos perform well simply because they dump excessive amounts of water onto the floor. While that can improve stain removal visually, it often leads to streaking and longer dry times in real-world use. The best hard floor cleaners provide efficient cleaning without soaking the floor.
Water Usage and Drying Performance
We measure the residual moisture left behind after cleaning by weighing a precisely weighed paper towel before and after the evaluation to calculate the water penalty score. The F25 Ultra performed very well here, leaving behind only 0.8 grams of water, compared to the roughly 1-gram average we typically see in this category.

When we combine the stain-removal score and the water penalty score into a single overall mopping performance metric, the Roborock F25 Ultra achieves an impressive 151.5 points. That’s dramatically above the category average of 115 points for all hard floor cleaners evaluated.

Steam Mode vs Hot Water Mode vs Auto Mode
One thing that surprised us was that Auto Mode performed the best overall based on our stain removal methodology. Steam Mode and Hot Water Mode didn’t perform poorly by any means, but neither outperformed Auto Mode the way we initially expected.
So we recommend using Auto Mode for most everyday floor cleaning tasks. Steam Mode works best for stubborn dried-on messes or sanitizing situations. Hot Water Mode is best for greasy kitchen floors, where heated water can more effectively break down oils.
Wet-Dry Vacuum Self-Cleaning and Maintenance Features
The self-cleaning system is another area where the Roborock F25 Ultra stands out from many competing wet-dry vacuums. While most hard floor cleaners include some form of self-clean cycle, the F25 Ultra goes much further.
Steam Roller Cleaning
It uses 356°F steam and 194°F hot water to deep-clean the roller after use. That helps address one of the bigger annoyances with vacuum mop combos, as you’ll see shortly.
Hot Air Roller Drying
After deep cleaning the roller, the machine follows that with 203°F hot air drying. This dries the roller in approximately five minutes, which is great because one of the most common complaints with older vacuum mop combos is lingering roller dampness and odor buildup.
The fast hot-air drying system should significantly reduce odors, moisture retention, and bacterial buildup compared to traditional systems. As long as you empty and rinse the dirty water tank afterward, overall maintenance is relatively easy.
Dirty Water Tank Design
The dirty water tank includes a detachable solid-liquid separation module that serves as a mesh strainer for hair, crumbs, and larger debris. It makes emptying the tank noticeably cleaner and less unpleasant.

Maneuverability and Under-Furniture Cleaning
Among the key features we found during our Roborock F25 Ultra review is its maneuverability. This hard floor cleaner is one of the easiest to maneuver in our current lineup.
SlideTech 2.0 Wheel Assistance
A big reason for the strong maneuverability is Roborock’s SlideTech 2.0 system, which uses dual brushless motors to independently control each wheel for near-instant responsiveness.
Combined with a 70-degree swivel and a lowered water tank that keeps the center of gravity closer to the floor, the machine feels remarkably agile around furniture and tight spaces despite its heavier weight.

Flat-Reach Cleaning Under Furniture
The F25 Ultra can lie fully flat to clean underneath furniture as low as 4.9 inches off the ground. That used to be a weakness in older floor washers because tilting the machine could cause dirty water leakage internally. But the issue appears to have been solved with the F25 Ultra.

App-Based Remote Steering
The hard floor cleaner features app-based remote steering through the Roborock app, allowing you to guide the machine under beds or sofas using your phone. Surprisingly, this proved more useful than we expected during evaluations (more on app controls shortly).

Smart Technology and Other Notable Features
The Roborock F25 Ultra includes four total cleaning modes: Auto, Sponge, Steam, and Hot Water.
DirTect Smart Sensor System
Auto Mode uses Roborock’s DirTect smart sensor system, which detects dirt levels in real time and automatically adjusts suction power and roller speed.
App Controls and Smart Features
Other premium features include LED lights on the floor head, voice assistant support, Wi-Fi connectivity, anti-hair-wrap blades on the roller, and app control, as mentioned earlier. Within the app, users can adjust settings, configure schedules, and even customize the sensitivity of the SlideTech wheel assistance system.
There’s also an automatic detergent dispenser that intelligently doses cleaning solution so you don’t have to manually measure anything yourself.
Roborock F25 Ultra Battery Life and Runtime
Battery life is another strong point for the Roborock F25 Ultra. Roborock advertises up to 60 minutes of runtime in Auto Mode. That’s significantly above the roughly 37-minute average for cordless hard floor cleaners.

However, Steam Mode and Hot Water Mode consume substantially more power. In our experience, runtime drops to roughly 15-25 minutes, depending on the heated cleaning mode used. So while Steam Mode and Hot Water Mode are useful specialty features, Auto Mode is the practical choice for larger whole-home cleaning sessions.
Roborock F25 Ultra Reliability and Customer Feedback
We track reliability using what we call the Amazon one-star review percentage. While it’s not a perfect metric, it can reveal recurring real-world issues like leaks, hardware failures, or durability problems that short-term evaluations sometimes miss.
The Roborock F25 Ultra currently has an 8% one-star review rate, which is considerably better than the category average of approximately 15% for hard floor cleaners. Overall customer feedback has also been relatively strong, averaging 4.2 stars compared to the roughly 4-star category average.
Roborock F25 Ultra Review: Potential Drawbacks
The F25 Ultra’s combination of steam cleaning and hot water cleaning offers something genuinely different in the vacuum mop category. Its maneuverability, self-cleaning system, low residual moisture, and excellent mopping scores all contributed to a very positive experience during evaluations.
But while the F25 Ultra is impressive, there are still some potential trade-offs worth noting, and the biggest one is weight. The machine weighs 5,506 grams, or roughly 12.1 pounds, which is noticeably above the average of 4,670 grams across hard floor cleaners evaluated.
That extra weight isn’t particularly surprising, given the onboard steam heater and the additional hardware required for both steam and hot water cleaning systems. The SlideTech 2.0 wheel assistance also offsets much of that heaviness during use, but it’s still something buyers should know beforehand.

We also measured usable suction directly at the floor head on maximum power. The F25 Ultra scored 1.05 kPa, which is slightly below the 1.17 kPa average across hard floor cleaners we’ve assessed. However, that lower suction number didn’t appear to hurt its overall cleaning performance significantly. Still, it’s worth noting.

Is the Roborock F25 Ultra Worth It?
All in all, the Roborock F25 Ultra is one of the most feature-rich cordless hard floor cleaners we’ve seen, and its mopping performance was excellent. We love how balanced the machine felt overall. Its maneuverability, self-cleaning system, and low residual moisture also help make it a high performer.
It’s a great fit for homes with lots of sealed hard flooring, kitchens that regularly handle greasy messes, or buyers looking for an advanced, hygienic vacuum-mop combo.
That noted, you may want to adjust expectations if you’re planning to run Steam Mode continuously during long cleaning sessions. That’s due to the shorter runtime in heated cleaning modes. Similarly, you may want to consider other options if looking for a lightweight or budget-friendly floor washer (see our current budget pick here).
Still, the Roborock F25 Ultra is one of the most innovative cordless vacuum mop combos currently available, earning the number three spot on our Vacuum Wars Best Hard Floor Cleaners rankings.
