Bissell CrossWave Reach Plus: The First CrossWave With Hot-Air Drying

Bissell has introduced two new cordless wet-dry floor cleaners, the CrossWave Reach and CrossWave Reach Plus. The Reach Plus is the first CrossWave model with a hot-air drying dock, according to Bissell. Both are designed to vacuum and wash sealed hard floors in a single pass, with a lay-flat design intended to make cleaning beneath furniture easier. The standard Reach offers the core cleaning design without the hot-air drying dock.

CrossWave Reach and Reach Plus: What’s new?

The new models feature a 180-degree lay-flat design for cleaning under low-clearance furniture and Bissell’s ZeroGap edge-cleaning technology for reaching along walls and baseboards. Bissell also highlights simultaneous wet and dry pickup and a self-cleaning function. The company says the Reach Plus can clean farther under furniture and leave floors dry faster than certain comparison models; those are manufacturer claims, not Vacuum Wars test results.

CrossWave’s First Hot-Air Drying Dock

The CrossWave Reach Plus brings hot-air drying to the CrossWave lineup for the first time. Its dock uses hot air to dry the brush roll after self-cleaning, which Bissell says helps reduce residual moisture and odors. The CrossWave Reach offers the core wet-dry cleaning design without that hot-air drying dock.

One package-detail question remains open: we have not independently confirmed the type or size of any additional cleaning-solution bottle included with the Plus listing, so we are not treating that as a verified difference between the packages.

These are launch details rather than hands-on findings. We have not established performance results for either model in Vacuum Wars testing.
