Eufy E25 Omni Robot Vacuum Review: Strong Performer with A Major Flaw

The Eufy E25 Omni is a robot vacuum and mop combo from Eufyโ€™s latest E Series. Unlike previous Eufy robots that used dual spinning mop pads, this model introduces a roller mop system designed to deliver better floor coverage and more efficient cleaning.

We purchased the E25 and tested it extensively over several weeks to find out what it does well and where it falls short. Along the way, we also analyzed real customer feedback and how Eufy has responded to product issues. Hereโ€™s how the E25 performed in our testing and how it compares to other robot vacuums in its class.

The Eufy E25 Omni is a robot vacuum/mop combo that combines 20,000โ€ฏPa turbo suction with a roller-based HydroJetโ„ข mopping system for simultaneous, all-in-one floor care. It uses a dual water reservoir and scraper mechanism to constantly refresh its roller mop, while a self-emptying, self-washing Omni Station handles dust collection, mop cleaning, hot-air drying, and automatic detergent refills. Navigation relies on LiDAR mapping plus RGB camera obstacle recognition, and it features DuoSpiralโ„ข antiโ€‘tangle brushes, a CornerRoverโ„ข arm for edge coverage, and app-controlled cleaning with zone and noโ€‘mop restrictions. Its suction can adapt to surfaces up to roughly 1-inch carpet pile, and the baseโ€™s 3โ€ฏL dust bag supports around 75 days of use. The robot also has a 2.5โ€ฏL cleanโ€‘water tank, 1.8โ€ฏL dirtyโ€‘water tank, and runs for about 110 minutes in combined vacuumโ€‘andโ€‘mop mode, or up to 216 minutes vacuumโ€‘only in standard mode.

Eufy E25 Omni Price and Key Features

The Eufy E25 sits at the higher end of the mid-tier price range. Like many other Eufy robot vacuums, it is positioned as a more value-minded option compared to many of its competitors, offering a solid mix of features for the price.

This model shares several features with the Eufy E28 (See our review), a more advanced robot vacuum that includes a detachable carpet cleaning unit. That shared foundation gives the E25 a capable feature set right out of the box.

Cleaning Performance and Pros

Carpet Cleaning and Debris Pickup Results

The robot performed well at its core task: sweeping up debris of all sizes from both hard floors and carpets without excessive scattering. It also excelled in our Carpet Deep Clean Test, where we embedded grit into medium-pile carpet to measure how much it could remove. The Eufy Omni E25 achieved an impressive 88% pickup rate, outperforming the average robot vacuum score of 75% by a wide margin. This strong deep-clean result reinforces its ability to lift embedded dirt and deliver above-average carpet cleaning performance compared to most robot vacuums in its class.

How the Roller Mop System Works

The roller applies 14.7 Newtons of downward pressure and lifts 10.5 millimeters above carpet to prevent moisture from seeping into carpet fibers. This makes the E25 well suited for homes with mixed flooring, allowing it to clean multiple surfaces in a single run.

It did, however, leave a bit more water behind than ideal, leaving behind 1.1 grams, which was over the average of 1.02 grams. Excess moisture can lead to streaking on darker floors, but even with that penalty, the E25 scored 30 points above the mopping average of 188 for a 218 Combined Mopping Test score.

Navigation is powered by top-mounted LiDAR, which typically performs better than embedded LiDAR systems. In our Navigation Efficiency test, the E25 cleaned at a rate of 0.9 square meters per minute โ€” 28% faster than the average robot vacuum โ€” and completed our test floorplan in 38 minutes, compared to the one-hour average. This efficiency gives it a practical edge in larger homes.

Battery Life and Charging Performance

Runtime and Coverage Efficiency Results

The official battery life of the Eufy Omni E25 is 216 minutes, compared to a 150-minute average for competitorsโ€”about a 44% longer runtime than the category average. However, in our tests, it fell slightly below expectations in terms of efficiency, with 1.1 minutes of runtime per one percent of battery compared to the 1.3-minute average.

But this small gap was offset by the robotโ€™s highly efficient navigation, which allowed it to cover 1,070 square feet per charge, outperforming the 1,015 square feet average. This efficiency helps maximize each cleaning cycle, making it especially practical for larger homes or multi-room layouts.

App Experience and Smart Home Features

The EufyHome app offers the key features expected from a mid-range robot vacuum. These include virtual barriers, fine-tuned zone cleaning controls, scheduling, and Matter compatibility for smart home integration. While solid overall, the app doesnโ€™t quite match the polish and feature depth of competitors like Roborock or Dreame. Several advanced options โ€” like floor-direction mopping and live video monitoring โ€” are missing.

Eufy E25 Omni Cons and Customer Feedback

Test Limitations and User-Reported Issues

The most notable downside in testing was suction power. In our bench tests, the E25 scored below average in suction and airflow. Although it still excelled in carpet deep cleaning and pet hair pickup, this lower airflow showed up in the crevice pickup test, where it made an average score of 2. This could affect performance in homes with deep grout lines or flooring seams.

Another limitation is that the roller mop does not extend to one side, making it harder for the robot to clean right up against walls. Its square shape helps mitigate this somewhat, but edge cleaning remains less precise than on some competitors.

A significant issue reported in early Amazon reviews involved the dirty water tank leaking. About 20% of reviews were one-star, primarily due to this flaw. Eufy responded quickly by sending corrected water tanks to affected customers and updating the product listings for both the E25 and E28. Since we did not have this problem in our testing, we had no occasion to repair this issue ourselves, but the correction seems to have been satisfactory for those who reported on it (Reddit link).

The app lacks floor-direction cleaning options to reduce streaks and does not support live video monitoring despite having a camera.

And lastly, the dustbin is also 25% smaller than average, which may affect performance in homes with heavy shedding pets or large debris loads.

Final Verdict: Is the Eufy E25 Omni a Good Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo?

If not for the early Amazon reviews related to the tank issue, the Eufy E25 Omni would have ranked 10th overall in our testing, which is excellent for its price. Because of that early feedback however, it currently sits at 31st.

However, since Eufy has corrected the water tank problem and recent reviews seem to have improved, this robot vacuum and mop has the potential to climb back into the top rankings. Its efficient navigation, strong mopping performance, and excellent pet hair pickup make it a competitive option in the mid-range category.

For those looking for a versatile cleaning robot with a roller mop system, solid LiDAR navigation, and smart home compatibility, the Eufy E25 Omni is a strong contender worth considering.
