MOVA V70 Ultra Complete
Vacuum Wars Stars 4.09
The MOVA V70 Ultra Complete combines excellent cleaning performance with practical innovations, making it one of the best robot vacuum releases of 2026 in our evaluations. In our studio tests, it removed 92% of embedded sand from carpet, picked up 94% of flattened pet hair, and finished our 7-inch hair test with no tangles. It also avoided 23 of 24 obstacles and delivered above-average dried-stain removal while leaving relatively little water behind. Its extra-long extending mop and side brush help reach around furniture and into corners, while its motorized climbing system successfully crossed a 2-inch single threshold in our testing. The bagless auto-empty dock adds automatic mop washing, hot-air drying, and cleaning-solution dispensing without requiring disposable dust bags. The main trade-offs are slower navigation, below-average battery efficiency, and a relatively small onboard dustbin. We also observed inconsistent water output between mop settings, and the app has mixed user feedback. See additional info
After buying the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete and putting it through studio evaluations, we found it has a lot to offer. The robot vacuum stood out among similar products and proved to be one of the most capable we’ve seen, with features and performance that make it a strong contender for our top pick of 2026. In our MOVA V70 Ultra Complete review, you’ll see the pros, cons, and where the V70 ranks among the best.
MOVA V70 Ultra Complete Overview
MOVA’s newest product in its V-Series lineup builds on the V50 Ultra Complete, and we first saw it on display at IFA 2026 in Berlin. It comes with an impressive suite of features and costs significantly more than the V50, but the V70 has several standout features that explain the price. These include the longest-reaching cleaning hardware we’ve ever seen, the highest-tiered threshold-climbing limit we’ve evaluated, and MOVA’s first bagless auto-empty dock.

Mopping Performance
The V70 uses dual spinning mop pads rated to rotate at up to 300 RPM while applying downward pressure. The pads can tilt slightly to maintain contact with uneven surfaces, and they lift 10 mm when the robot encounters carpet.

Its most distinctive mopping feature is the extending arm. MOVA lists a maximum mop reach of 17 cm (6.7 inches). That gives the pad access around chair legs, furniture bases, and other awkward boundaries that a shorter extending mop can miss. It was the longest-reaching mop hardware we had seen at the time of this review.

Mopping results were really good. The V70 Ultra Complete scored above average in both dried-stain evaluations while leaving relatively little water behind.
| Mopping test | V70 | Average |
|---|---|---|
| Coffee-only stains | 100 points | 94 points |
| Coffee and grape juice stains | 133 points | 108 points |
| Water left behind | 0.43 g | 1.15 g |
Its combined mopping score was 35.5 compared with an average of 24.2. So you’re getting above-average stain removal without the trade-off of an excessively wet floor, a combination we love to see. However, we did find an inconsistency in the water-level controls, which we’ll discuss shortly.
Carpet Cleaning and Pet Hair Pickup
In our surface-cleaning evaluations, the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete did really well at picking up debris of various sizes from hard floors and carpets. There was a little scattering of fine debris, but nothing serious. And its specialized cleaning results were very impressive.
It collected 92% of debris compared with the studio average of 78% in our carpet deep clean evaluation, which measures how much embedded sand a robot vacuum can remove. The side brush has similar extending hardware to the mop pad and reaches 4.7 inches (12 centimeters) when sweeping along walls and into corners.
The main cleaning system uses an anti-tangle dual-brush design that resists tangles while maintaining good contact with floor surfaces.

That combination really paid off, especially in our pet hair pickup assessments. For flattened pet hair, we pressed 2.5-inch hair into carpet to simulate hair that has been walked on. The MOVA V70 Ultra Complete collected 94%. And in a separate evaluation using 7-inch strands, none of the hair remained wrapped around the brushes.
| Vacuuming test | V70 | Average |
|---|---|---|
| Embedded sand removed | 92% | 78% |
| Flattened pet hair picked up | 94% | 82.2% |
| Long hair remaining tangled | 0% | 26% |
Together, those results make the V70 particularly encouraging if you need both strong carpet pickup and resistance to hair tangles.
Obstacle Avoidance
This was another major strength of the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete. The robot vacuum’s hardware includes an AI camera, LED light, and edge sensor. More importantly, it avoided 23 of 24 obstacles with just one miss during our studio assessment. The average is 16 out of 24.

Obstacle Avoidance is one of the main reasons the V70 stood out among premium robots we’ve evaluated. It got exactly the kind of result we would expect from a premium robot. But no controlled assessment can guarantee a robot will avoid every cable or object in a home.
Threshold Climbing
MOVA’s StepMaster 2.0 system uses motorized legs to raise the chassis over raised transitions. The advertised 90 mm (3.54-inch) crossing capability applies to a two-step obstacle, not a single vertical ledge. And it’s the highest official threshold figure we’ve seen so far.
For a single-step obstacle, MOVA’s official specification is 45 mm (1.77 inches). We confirmed this during evaluation, and the V70 successfully crossed a taller 51 mm (2-inch) threshold.

Multifunction Dock
The V70’s auto-empty dock collects debris in a reusable container rather than a disposable bag, making it MOVA’s first robot vacuum with a bagless auto-empty dock. It’s a meaningful upgrade if you don’t want to keep buying replacement dust bags, and the dock’s feature set is extensive.
MOVA claims the dock washes its mop pads at up to 212°F (100°C) and dries them with hot air at 158°F (70°C). It also automatically dispenses cleaning solution and cleans the washboard. The robot can also leave its mop pads at the dock for vacuum-only runs, and it supports fast charging. These features reduce routine handling, though you still need to empty and maintain the reusable debris container.

MOVAhome App
The MOVAhome app worked well for us in the studio. It also includes controls you’d expect from a premium robot, such as room and zone cleaning, schedules, no-go areas, cleaning sequences, and adjustments for suction and water levels.
While our experience was positive, some of the feedback in the Apple App Store and Google Play isn’t. User complaints include the interface, map editing, and software glitches. However, those reviews concern the shared MOVAhome app rather than the V70 Ultra Complete alone. So they shouldn’t be treated as a model-specific reliability score.
We would describe the app as feature-rich but with a more mixed reputation for usability and reliability.

Cons of the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete
Our MOVA V70 Ultra Complete review won’t be complete without covering the cons, and the robot vacuum had a few despite its impressive results.
Navigation and Battery Efficiency
Avoiding obstacles and covering a floor quickly are separate abilities. So while the V70’s obstacle avoidance was superb, we were unimpressed by its navigation speed and battery efficiency. The numbers were less than average.
| Efficiency measure | V70 | Average |
|---|---|---|
| Floor coverage per minute | 0.525 m² | 0.711 m² |
| Minutes per 1% battery used | 1.28 | 1.56 |
| Estimated floor coverage per charge | 723 sq ft | 1,170 sq ft |
That estimated coverage equates to about 67 m² per charge versus an average of 109 m². This means a large floor plan with substantial carpet could require more charging stops and a longer overall cleaning session. Its fast charging feature helps, but it doesn’t remove the underlying efficiency limitation.
Onboard Dustbin Size
The robot’s onboard dustbin holds 300 mL compared with an average of 377 mL (the bin inside the robot, not the dock’s reusable collection container). That’s the minimum capacity we like to see, but we prefer more room. It’s not unusually small among comparable flagships, though. So it’s more of a limitation worth weighing alongside the V70 Ultra Complete’s excellent hair pickup results.

Water Settings Consistency and Early Reviews
We didn’t experience dry mopping in the studio. However, we observed more water output at the lowest setting than at the highest. We measured 0.5 g on the lowest setting and 0.3 g on the highest, which isn’t the progression you’d expect from those controls.
Online reviews are still pretty sparse since this is such a new product, and what we do see is generally positive. But we found a Reddit thread and a MOVA forum discussion where some users reported overly dry mop pads. MOVA support has acknowledged those reports and discussed future firmware improvements.
These owner reports and our inconsistent water-setting behavior may be related, but we haven’t established a common cause. Just something to keep in mind.
MOVA V70 Ultra Complete Review: Our Verdict
Overall, the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete combines strong cleaning performance with useful features. Its carpet deep cleaning and hair pickup were excellent, and its obstacle avoidance was fantastic. The extending mop and side brush offer more reach than we’ve seen before, and the bagless dock is a great upgrade. It’s also less expensive than some other flagships on our Top 20 Robot Vacuums list.
More user feedback could change its standing, and our rankings can shift as we assess new products and update evaluation methods to keep pace with the industry. But the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete did enough to take the number 1 spot on Vacuum Wars’ Top 20, officially becoming our new number 1 robot vacuum for 2026 at the time of this review. All thanks to its cleaning results, obstacle avoidance, unique hardware, and overall feature set.
It’s a good option if you prioritize cleaning performance, hair handling, and not using disposable dust bags. If you have a large home where finishing a whole-floor clean fast is the main priority, the V70’s lower navigation and battery efficiency are worth consideration. The small onboard bin and inconsistent water controls are also additional compromises, but not reasons to ignore the strengths we measured.
