Uninell UR3
Vacuum Wars Stars 2.06
The budget-friendly Uninell UR3 combines a self-emptying dock with LiDAR navigation, recharge-and-resume, carpet avoidance, app customization, and remote control. In Vacuum Wars studio tests, it delivered above-average suction, navigation efficiency, and cleaning speed, with especially low seven-inch hair tangling. Surface debris pickup was effective, though fine debris required a second pass. Airflow, carpet deep cleaning, pet hair pickup, battery efficiency, and mopping performance were below average. It also lacks dedicated obstacle avoidance, while tank refilling and mop washing and drying remain manual. See additional info
We bought the Uninell UR3, an ultra-budget robot vacuum with an auto-empty dock, and put it through several weeks of studio testing. It offers useful conveniences for the money, including LiDAR navigation and a remote control, but our results revealed significant limitations in pet hair pickup, mopping, and battery efficiency.
Uninell UR3 at a Glance
The UR3 combines vacuuming and basic flat-pad mopping with an auto-empty base station. Its top-mounted LiDAR maps rooms and plans cleaning routes. Unlike more advanced mop docks, the station does not wash or dry the mop: you must refill the robot’s water tank and clean its pad manually.

Vacuuming Performance
Uninell advertises 7,000Pa suction. In our tests, the UR3 measured 1.2 kPa on the suction bench, above our 0.99 kPa average, but airflow was 14 CFM, below our 17 CFM average. It swept a range of debris from hard floors and carpets, although fine debris initially left visible gaps in its cleaning path that required a second pass. Carpet deep cleaning was less impressive at 77%, just below our 78% average.

Hair Pickup and Tangles
Its best surprise was the seven-inch hair-tangle test: just 7% of the hair wrapped around the brush, compared with a 26% average. Pet hair pickup was a notable weakness: it collected only 56% of flattened hair from carpet, against an 82% average.
Mopping Performance
The UR3 uses a basic flat mop pad and an electronically controlled water tank, without active scrubbing or pressurized washing. It scored 40 on our dried-on stain test, well below our average of 108. Its combined water score was 18.8, compared with an average of 31.
Water output was low and remained at 0.3 g in our tests at all three app water settings. That can help limit streaking, but it also restricts stain removal. We would use this mop for light maintenance rather than meaningful floor washing. Because we observed gaps in the vacuum’s cleaning path, separate vacuuming and mopping runs may be preferable to simultaneous cleaning.

Navigation, Battery and Dock
LiDAR navigation was one of the UR3’s stronger features. It achieved 0.87 square meters per minute in our navigation efficiency test, compared with an average of 0.71, and finished our studio floor plan in 40 minutes versus a 56-minute average. Battery efficiency, however, was only 1.09 minutes per 1% charge, below the 1.56-minute average. Larger homes may require a recharge partway through a cleaning run.
The dock automatically transfers debris into a disposable bag and supports recharge-and-resume cleaning. The UR3 does not have a dedicated small-object obstacle avoidance system, so floors with clutter will require more preparation.
App and Remote Control
The UR3 uses the Tuya-powered SmartLife app for room customization, no-go zones, schedules, suction settings, and mopping controls. The app worked in our studio, although we have encountered interface inconsistencies with Tuya-based apps on other products. A supplied physical remote offers simpler everyday operation; the app is still needed for setup and detailed map controls.

Uninell UR3 vs. Dreame D20 Plus
When looking at another budget range robot vacuum, the Dreame D20 Plus (See our Review) performed substantially better in our carpet, pet hair, and mopping tests, despite taking longer to complete the studio floor plan. For households that can stretch beyond the ultra-budget category, it is a stronger all-around alternative.
| Studio test | Uninell UR3 | Dreame D20 Plus |
|---|---|---|
| Airflow | 14 CFM | 18 CFM |
| Carpet deep clean | 77% | 93% |
| Pet hair pickup | 56% | 91% |
| Seven-inch hair tangle (lower is better) | 7% | 0% |
| Dried-on stain test | 40 | 90 |
| Studio clean time | 40 min | 48 min |
Verdict: Who Should Buy the Uninell UR3?
The Uninell UR3 makes the most sense for a smaller, relatively uncluttered home with predominantly hard floors, light debris, and a buyer who prioritizes basic automated vacuuming and an auto-empty dock. Its efficient LiDAR navigation, low brush tangling, and dedicated remote are useful strengths.
We would not recommend it for homes with significant pet hair, extensive carpeting, or expectations of serious mopping performance. Our testing suggests that an entry-level model from a more established brand, such as the Dreame D20 Plus, can deliver meaningfully better cleaning results. Dreame D20+
Vacuum Wars Stars 2.92
The Dreame D20+ is a robot vacuum and mop combo with a self-emptying dock, efficient navigation, and strong vacuuming performance. In Vacuum Wars testing, it removed 93% of embedded debris from carpet and 91% of flattened pet hair, while completing our long-hair tangle test with no hair wrapped around its brushes. It also scored well above average in navigation and battery efficiency, making it a practical choice for larger homes. The D20+ offers multi-level mapping, virtual barriers, carpet boost, adjustable mopping water levels, and app and voice controls. While its mopping system is basic and it lacks dedicated obstacle avoidance, its impressive carpet cleaning, pet hair pickup, and convenient self-emptying dock make it a strong option for households that prioritize vacuuming performance.
