Vacuum Wars Withdraws Top Recommendation for MOVA V70 Ultra Complete Amid Mopping Concerns

Vacuum Wars is withdrawing our recommendation of the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete as our number-one robot vacuum following concerns about its mopping reliability, negative customer feedback, and limited retail availability.

The V70 Ultra Complete recently earned the top position on our Top 20 Best Robot Vacuums list after delivering excellent results in several of our independent performance tests. However, additional owner feedback and reports of recurring mopping problems have raised concerns about its reliability in everyday use.

Although the V70 performed well in our studio evaluations, we no longer feel comfortable recommending it as our top overall robot vacuum based on the information currently available.

MOVA V70 Ultra Complete Mopping Problems Reported by Owners

The most significant concerns involve the V70 Ultra Complete’s water delivery system and mop pads. Multiple owners have reported that the robot fails to maintain sufficient moisture during mopping, sometimes leaving its pads nearly dry after a short period of cleaning.

Inconsistent Water Delivery and Dry Mop Pads

In a Reddit discussion titled “V70 Mopping Disappointment,” one owner reported that the mop pads became too dry to clean effectively after approximately 45 seconds, despite using the highest available water setting and increasing the frequency of mop washing.

Another owner described similar problems after three weeks of use, reporting that the pads dried out after cleaning only a few square meters. The owner praised the robot’s vacuuming performance and navigation but ultimately considered returning the product because of its mopping performance.

Other community feedback describes inconsistent water dispensing even at maximum settings.

There are reports of improvements following firmware updates. One V70 owner reported that an update corrected the problem of visibly dry mop pads. However, reports from other owners suggest that the issue has not been resolved consistently.

Mop Pad Attachment and Docking Issues

Other complaints concern the robot’s ability to attach and retain its mop pads during automated cleaning routines.

In a separate Reddit report, an owner described recurring errors indicating that the mop pads had detached, even when both pads remained attached to the robot. The same owner reported that the V70 sometimes failed to reattach its mop pads after washing them at the docking station, requiring manual intervention.

Similar attachment problems were described by another V70 owner, who reported contacting MOVA support about the issue.

These reports do not establish how widespread the problems are or whether they share a common cause. However, the recurring complaints raise concerns about the V70’s ability to complete mopping routines reliably without intervention.

MOVA V70 Ultra Complete Amazon Reviews and Availability

Customer feedback and retail availability have also contributed to our decision.

As of November 4, 2026, the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete’s Amazon listing shows a 3.7-star rating from 27 global ratings. Amazon’s displayed rating breakdown shows that 19% are one-star ratings and another 6% are two-star ratings, for a combined 25% in the lowest two categories.

Although the total number of ratings remains relatively small, the negative feedback is another concern when considered alongside the more detailed complaints from owners.

The V70 Ultra Complete is also listed as currently unavailable on Amazon, with no estimated restock date. The official MOVA U.S. store currently lists the product as sold out.

It is unclear whether these availability issues are temporary or related to any of the reported problems. MOVA has not been confirmed to have discontinued or recalled the model.

Why the MOVA V70 Originally Ranked Number One at Vacuum Wars

Our original assessment of the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete was based on its strong performance in independent studio testing.

In our full MOVA V70 Ultra Complete review, the robot achieved excellent carpet deep-cleaning and pet hair pickup results, strong obstacle avoidance, and above-average performance in our dried-stain mopping tests.

Its unusually long extending mop arm and side brush, advanced threshold-climbing system, and bagless auto-empty dock also contributed to its high overall score.

However, we did identify inconsistent water output during our initial testing. The V70 dispensed more water at its lowest moisture setting than at its highest, although we did not experience the dry-mopping behavior described by some owners.

We documented that limitation in our original review, along with early community complaints about dry mop pads. At the time, the issue did not outweigh the robot’s strong overall test results.

The additional consumer feedback now warrants a change in that assessment.

What This Means for Vacuum Wars’ Best Robot Vacuum Rankings

Vacuum Wars is removing the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete from its position as our number-one recommended robot vacuum. Our rankings are based on independent testing, but we also consider product reliability, consumer feedback, and availability when determining which models we can confidently recommend.

The V70’s original performance results remain valid, and its strengths in vacuuming, obstacle avoidance, and hardware innovation are unchanged. Nevertheless, strong laboratory performance alone does not guarantee a consistently reliable experience for consumers.

We will continue evaluating the available information as we update our rankings. For now, the combination of reported mopping problems, customer feedback, and limited availability means we can no longer recommend the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete as our top overall robot vacuum. It has dropped in our rankings accordingly.
