The Shark Detect Pro Lift-Away ADV LA802 delivered perfect debris pickup and carpet deep cleaning results in our evaluations, with a lighter design than Shark’s larger flagships. We look at where that balance works, what you give up, and whether this is the Shark upright that makes the most sense for your home.
The Shark PowerDetect Ultra-Light HZ4002 combines a cordless-style form factor with continuous corded power. In our studio tests, it delivered excellent pickup, strong airflow, perfect hair-tangle resistance, and sealed HEPA filtration, with only a few modest tradeoffs.
We independently tested Shark cordless vacuums to find the best models for different homes, comparing cleaning performance, DuoClean rollers, anti-tangle brushrolls, smart sensors, sealed HEPA filtration, and everyday usability.
The Shark PowerDetect Transformer is an excellent premium upright with a genuinely unusual three-in-one design. But its stick and handheld modes introduce compromises, and two more accessible Shark alternatives are easier to recommend.
The Shark PowerDetect Speed Clean & Empty is a newer cordless vacuum similar to the flagship Clean & Empty, but with a few key differences, all of which we cover in this full review. As usual, we bought this cordless vacuum with our own money and put it through a series of evaluations to see how well it held up against the flagship PowerDetect. We found that there were some clear advantages to the lighter design, along with a few trade-offs.
Shark is taking the wet-dry vacuum category off the floor with the new AquaReach WD551. Its headline feature is an extendable cleaning wand—a new addition for this type of product—that brings suction and on-demand cleaning-solution spray to baseboards, cabinet doors, tile walls, crown molding, and other areas conventional vacuum mops cannot reach.
A security researcher has disclosed an alleged cloud vulnerability affecting Shark robot vacuums that could allow remote command execution on compatible devices. Here’s what was discovered, what it could mean for owners, and whether SharkNinja has released a fix.
We bought the Shark StainStriker HairPro with our own money and put it through our studio evaluations. Here’s how Shark’s flagship portable spot cleaner performed on stains, suction, attachments, usability, and pet-focused cleaning.
SharkNinja has announced the Shark PowerDetect Transformer, a new corded upright vacuum built around a three-in-one design. It is an unusual entry in the upright category because Shark has reworked the basic upright layout so the vacuum can operate as a full-size upright, a lighter stick-style cleaner, and a detachable handheld system.
The Shark PowerPro Flex Pet Plus impressed us with excellent debris pickup, strong carpet deep-cleaning performance, and useful features like FloorDetect and the MultiFLEX wand. However, below-average power metrics, poor crevice cleaning, and a failed filtration test make it difficult to recommend at its current price.
