Bissell PowerClean FurFinder 4052
Vacuum Wars Stars 3.07
The Bissell PowerClean FurFinder 4052 is a pet-focused cordless stick vacuum with a 200-watt motor and three power levels. It is designed for hard floors, area rugs, furniture, stairs, and above-floor cleaning, and it converts to handheld and high-reach configurations. The included powered FurFinder upholstery tool targets embedded pet hair, while an integrated crevice tool handles narrow spaces. FurFinder headlights are designed to reveal fine debris and hidden pet hair, and the tangle-free brush roll is designed to reduce hair wrap. Bissell rates the removable battery for up to 40 minutes on low power and about 13 minutes in turbo mode. A HEPA sealed allergen system, self-standing storage, and an included wall mount add everyday convenience. Its 1,876-gram handle and compact 400 ml dustbin are the main practical limitations. The BISSELL PowerClean FurFinder 4052 gets several important things right for a value-focused cordless vacuum: surface debris pickup, resistance to hair tangles, a useful upholstery tool, and bright headlights. After buying one and putting it through our independent studio tests, though, we also found limitations that matter in a pet-owning household. Its small dustbin needs frequent emptying, the handheld assembly feels heavy, and some rugs can cause the brush roll to stall.
Those trade-offs make it a more convincing choice for quick floor and furniture cleanup than for long cleaning sessions or demanding carpet work. Here is where the FurFinder impressed us, and where we would be more cautious.
BISSELL PowerClean FurFinder features and included tools
The FurFinder uses one powered floor head for hard floors and carpets, with Eco, Medium, and Turbo settings. It converts into a handheld vacuum and comes with a powered upholstery tool, a combination dusting brush and crevice tool, and a wall mount. The removable battery can charge outside the vacuum, and an additional battery is available separately.

Surface pickup is one of its strongest qualities
The FurFinder performed particularly well at picking up debris from the surface of floors. It scored 4.5 points in our hard-floor pickup test, compared with the 3.5-point average used in this review. On low-pile carpet, surface pickup reached 5 points against an average of 3.9.

A fairly large opening in the center of the floor head gives larger debris a route into the vacuum instead of pushing it ahead. Crevice pickup was also above average, making the FurFinder worth considering for hard floors with grout lines or grooves.
| Surface cleaning test | FurFinder 4052 | Tested-category average |
| Hard-floor pickup | 4.5 points | 3.5 points |
| Carpet surface pickup | 5.0 points | 3.9 points |
| Crevice pickup | 3.5 points | 2.5 points |
These are pickup scores, not percentages. Each result above was recorded at maximum power; the carpet surface test used low-pile carpet. Our cordless vacuum testing methodology explains how we evaluate cleaning performance.
Carpet deep cleaning and washable rugs reveal the limits
Strong surface pickup did not translate into an above-average carpet deep-cleaning result. We embedded sand in medium-pile carpet and measured how much the vacuum recovered after a set number of passes at maximum power. The FurFinder removed 90%, compared with an average of 93%. That is a respectable result, but it trails the comparison group.
The more noticeable problem was on our washable rug. The floor head pulled strongly against the rug and the brush roll stopped, requiring us to switch the vacuum off and back on. BISSELL recommends Eco mode for carpets and area rugs to help prevent stalling. Our thicker carpet sample worked better, including at higher settings, so this was not a problem on every carpet surface we tried.

If you have lightweight or washable rugs, this behavior deserves particular attention. The 90% deep-cleaning result was obtained at maximum power; it should not be treated as a measurement of what the vacuum removes in Eco mode.
Hair-tangle resistance and the upholstery tool stand out
BISSELL calls the floor brush tangle-free. It does not use the active comb-style hair-removal mechanism found on some cordless vacuums, but its passive brush design performed very well in our test. With 14-inch hair, the FurFinder earned 10 out of 10 points for tangle resistance, compared with an average of about 7.4. That is a strong result in our long-hair test.

The powered upholstery tool was another highlight. We used it on a velvet sofa and saw it remove pet hair effectively. Furniture cleaning also felt more comfortable than unsupported dusting because the tool could rest on the sofa while we worked.

Bright lights and self-standing convenience
The floor-head LEDs provided plenty of illumination in dark corners and made the debris in front of the vacuum easier to see. It was a feature we appreciated during ordinary cleaning, not just in the test setup.
We also liked being able to stand the vacuum upright instead of finding something to lean it against. There are limits to that convenience: BISSELL says it stands best on hard surfaces, should be switched off before parking, and should not be left standing unattended.
Handheld weight and dustbin capacity are the main usability drawbacks
Our measured handle assembly weighed 1,876 grams, or about 4.14 pounds, versus an average of 1,512 grams, or 3.33 pounds. This is the handheld assembly, not the weight of the complete stick vacuum. The difference was noticeable when dusting above the floor: we needed both hands to support and steady it, and precise movements felt awkward.
The dustbin holds 400 mL, compared with our 746 mL category average. That is only a little more than half the average capacity. In a home with a lot of pet hair, the small bin can interrupt otherwise convenient cleanup with frequent trips to empty it.

Filtration and measured power
The FurFinder passed our filtration fog test without visible leakage through the exhaust or housing. That was a particularly welcome result for a vacuum in this price tier.

Airflow and sealed suction were close to their respective averages. We measured 41 CFM at the wand versus 42.2 CFM on average, and 36 CFM at the floor head versus 36.5 CFM. Its cleaning advantages therefore come through more clearly in the pickup tests than in a claim of exceptional suction power.
Battery life: check the cleaning mode behind the claim
BISSELL advertises up to 40 minutes of runtime using the hand vacuum in Eco mode. That is not the same configuration as cleaning floors in Turbo with the powered head attached. In our maximum-power floor-head test, the FurFinder ran for about 12.6 minutes, slightly below the 13.5-minute average.
Our combined maximum-runtime and wand-airflow index was above average, at about 17.9 points versus 15.9. That indicates a useful balance between power and runtime, but it does not turn the modest battery life into an above-average runtime result.
The detachable battery helps with flexibility: you can charge it separately from the vacuum or purchase a second pack. During our review, the accessory-release controls were easy to operate and the tools were straightforward to switch. We would still weigh the small bin and heavier handheld feel alongside that convenience.
Our verdict: useful for everyday cleanup, with clear compromises
The PowerClean FurFinder has genuine strengths for its price tier. Surface pickup and hair-tangle resistance were strong, the sofa tool worked well, and we appreciated the headlights, removable battery, and self-standing design. For quick cleaning across floors and furniture, it offers a practical set of features.
We were less convinced by its washable-rug behavior, below-average carpet deep cleaning, heavy handheld assembly, small bin, and modest maximum-power runtime. Those limitations kept it out of our Top 10 cordless vacuum list at the time of this review. Shoppers who prioritize long sessions, lots of carpet, or frequent above-floor dusting should weigh those compromises carefully.
