Ecovacs officially launched its latest flagship robot vacuum, the Deebot X12 OmniCyclone. This premium Ecovacs model was showcased at CES 2026, which we covered earlier this year. Positioned at the top of the DEEBOT lineup, the X12 features a combination of high suction power, a next-generation roller mopping system with a pre-soaking feature for tough stains, and a bagless self-emptying station.

The Ecovacs Deebot X12 OmniCycloneis a premium flagship robot vacuum and mop with a bagless OmniCyclone dock and a standout FocusJet pre-soak mopping system that sprays stains before cleaning them with its Osmo 3.0 roller mop. The mop spins at 220 RPM, lifts 15 mm over carpets, cleans itself with fresh water, and earned a very high combined mopping score thanks to above-average dried stain removal and low water usage. Vacuuming performance was also excellent, with strong suction, above-average airflow, perfect first-pass debris pickup, 100% pet hair removal, and zero hair tangles in seven-inch hair tests. Obstacle avoidance was another major strength, avoiding 23 of 24 objects, while the robot also crossed a 25 mm threshold after a second attempt. Additional pros include efficient battery life, rapid charging that restores 13% battery in three minutes, advanced app controls, Matter compatibility, live video monitoring, and excellent pet hair handling from the dock. Downsides included only average deep carpet cleaning, below-average crevice pickup, slightly below-average navigation efficiency, a small 250 ml dustbin, and a taller-than-average profile. It currently ranks among the highest-performing robot vacuums tested by Vacuum Wars in recent evaluations. See additional info

A New Approach to Mopping: FocusJet + OZMO Roller 3.0
One of the most notable upgrades is Ecovacs’ FocusJet + OZMO Roller 3.0 system, which rethinks how robot mops handle stubborn messes.
The X12 first applies a pressurized spray of water to loosen dirt and sticky residue, followed by a continuously rotating 10.6 inch roller mop. This approach is designed to handle tougher stains like grease and dried spills, making it one of the most aggressive mopping systems we’ve seen from Ecovacs.

See the Press Release from Ecovacs.
Unlike traditional spinning pad systems, the roller is washed in real time during cleaning, helping prevent the common issue of spreading dirty water across floors. The mop carries the latest generation of edge mopping, the TruEdge 3.0, to extend up to 1.5 cm for better reach along baseboards and furniture.

Bagless OmniCyclone Station
Another standout feature is the OmniCyclone bagless docking station, which eliminates the need for disposable dust bags. This is the same cyclone-based system Ecovacs introduced on the X11 OmniCyclone (See our review), which offered an effective alternative to traditional bagged docks. Using cyclone-based dust separation, the station maintains suction while reducing ongoing costs and waste. For users who prefer a more sustainable or lower-maintenance setup, this can be a significant advantage over standard auto-empty systems.
Additionally, the dock automatically washes and dries the mop, empties and cleans the robot’s dirty water tank, and supports PowerBoost fast charging.

22,000Pa Suction, ZeroTangle 4.0, and TruEdge 3.0
On the vacuuming side, the X12 features 22,000Pa “Blast” suction. Paired with ZeroTangle 4.0 technology, the system is engineered to reduce hair wrap by directing debris straight into the airflow path. This is particularly relevant for homes with pets, where hair tangling is a common maintenance issue.

Smarter Cleaning for Large Homes
The Deebot X12 is clearly designed with larger spaces in mind. Features include:
- PowerBoost fast charging, restoring up to 13% battery in just 3 minutes
- Adaptive charging strategy, optimizing cleaning based on home size
- Coverage of over 1000㎡ (10,700+ sq ft)
These features aim to minimize downtime and ensure continuous cleaning across multi-room environments.

Carpet Detection and 4-Wheel Drive Mobility
For mixed flooring, the X12 includes automatic mop lifting (15 mm) when carpets are detected, helping prevent wetting soft surfaces. There is a mop cover that automatically deploys for better carpet protection.
