Ecovacs Demos Robot/Stick Vacuum Hybrid at CES 2025

Ecovacs quietly showcased a new robot vacuum concept at CES 2025: the Deebot X5 Hybrid. This model combines a traditional robot vacuum with a removable stick attachment, enabling users to switch from autonomous cleaning to manual control. It may simplify tasks such as spot-cleaning or expediting floor care.

The Deebot X5 Hybrid will run with autonomous or manual control

At last year’s CES 2024, Ecovacs introduced the Deebot X2 Combo, which included a handheld vacuum while still utilizing the Omni station. In contrast, the X5 Hybrid adopts a 2-in-1 structure, allowing a vacuum stick to be connected directly to the robot body. It appears that Ecovacs is positioning itself to have more multipurpose functions in its vacuum lineup.

Although official specifications remain unknown, the X5 Hybrid is apparently based on the Deebot X5 Pro Omni’s framework, suggesting it may share some of the X5 Pro Omni’s robot features. However, the X5 Hybrid has been docked in a station that more closely resembles Tineco’s Pure One design rather than Ecovacs’ Omni dock, but further details about its final specifications and capabilities have yet to be confirmed.

Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
