The Eufy Omni C28 is the latest addition to Eufy’s growing C-Series lineup, and after several weeks of testing, it may be our favorite Eufy robot vacuum yet. Thanks to its excellent HydroJet roller mop system, strong carpet cleaning performance, and aggressive pricing, the C28 ended up outperforming our expectations in several key tests.
We bought the Eufy Omni C28 and put it through a wide range of evaluations, including carpet deep cleaning, dried stain mopping tests, pet hair pickup, obstacle avoidance, navigation efficiency, battery performance, and more. Along the way, this robot vacuum and mop combo impressed us in several important areas, especially considering its price category.
In this Eufy Omni C28 review, we’ll go over what we liked, where it fell short, and whether it was able to earn a spot on our Top 20 Best Robot Vacuums list.

The Eufy C28 Omni is a robot vacuum/mop combo that impressed in testing with a strong mix of cleaning performance, automation, and value. Its HydroJet continuous-clean roller mop sprays fresh water onto the roller while collecting dirty water separately, helping it handle wet messes without spreading them around. The mop spins at 270 RPM, applies 9.8N of pressure, lifts 10.8 mm over carpets, achieved an above-average dried-stain score, left only about one-quarter as much water behind as the average robot, and earned a combined mopping score that ranked it among the top 10 mopping systems in the test database. Vacuuming was also a strength, with 15,000Pa suction, an 89% carpet deep-clean score, perfect removal of 2.5-inch pet hair, and a flawless anti-tangle result with 7-inch hair. Additional advantages include an auto-emptying and self-maintaining dock, hot-air mop drying at 50°C (122°F), a feature-rich app with multi-floor mapping and voice assistant support, and above-average navigation efficiency. Drawbacks include below-average obstacle avoidance, successfully avoiding only 15 of 24 test obstacles, a taller-than-average body that may struggle under low furniture, below-average battery efficiency despite slightly above-average estimated coverage per charge, and an app that lacks some advanced automation options found on competitors. Eufy Omni C28 Specs and Features
The Eufy C28 is the newest model in Eufy’s value-focused C-Series, which includes the vacuum-only C10 (see our review) and the vacuum-and-mop C20 (see our review). Eufy advertises the C28 as an upgrade over its 2024 X10 Pro Omni (see our review), with higher suction power and several hardware improvements.
Even though the C28 is the most premium model in the C-Series lineup, it is frequently sold at discounts of up to 30% below retail price. If those lower prices remain consistent, the Eufy C28 could become one of the strongest value robot vacuum options currently available because of its broad feature set and impressive real-world performance. In many ways, it offers high-end robot vacuum features without flagship pricing.
Eufy HydroJet Roller Mop Performance
One of the biggest highlights of the Eufy Omni C28 was its mopping system. The C28 uses Eufy’s HydroJet mopping system, which features a continuously self-cleaning roller mop design. As the robot cleans, it sprays fresh water onto the roller while simultaneously collecting dirty wastewater into a separate tank. This roller mop system has a major advantage over dual spinning mop pads because it processes wet spills more effectively instead of spreading liquid messes around the floor.
The mop roller spins at 270 RPM and applies 9.8 Newtons of downward pressure. It can also automatically lift 10.8 millimeters when carpet is detected, allowing the robot to vacuum carpets and mop hard floors in a single run without soaking rugs.
In our dried stain test, the Eufy C28 earned a score of 119, which was significantly above the category average of 108 and far ahead of the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra’s score of 73 (see our review). Even more impressive was the robot’s low water usage during the test. We measured just 0.25 grams of residual water left behind, compared to the average of 1.07 grams. We especially liked this because lower water residue can reduce streaking and improve overall floor appearance after cleaning.
When combining stain removal and water efficiency into our overall mopping calculations, the Eufy Omni C28 achieved a combined mopping score of 29, which placed it among the top 10 robot mops of all time in our testing database. For comparison, the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra scored 15, while the category average sits at 20. For homes prioritizing hard floor cleaning, this was one of the strongest roller mop robot vacuum performances we’ve tested recently, especially at this price.
Eufy C28 Vacuuming Performance
Mopping was arguably the headline feature, but the vacuuming performance was also surprisingly strong. The Eufy Omni C28 has an official suction rating of 15,000 Pascals, which exceeds the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra’s 13,000 Pa specification. It also includes Eufy’s anti-tangle DuoSpiral main brush design along with dual side brushes.
In our carpet deep clean test, where sand is embedded into medium-pile carpet fibers to evaluate deep extraction capability, the Eufy Omni C28 removed 89% of the debris. That score was well above the average of 78% and comfortably ahead of the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra’s 81%. It was one of the better carpet-cleaning results we’ve seen recently from a value-focused robot vacuum.
The robot also performed extremely well in our flattened pet hair pickup test. Using 2.5-inch pet hair embedded into carpet, it removed 100% of the material, compared to the average score of 82%. For pet owners, this is one of the most important real-world performance categories because flattened hair is notoriously difficult for many robot vacuums to remove effectively.
The anti-tangle system was another standout feature. Eufy’s DuoSpiral brush includes a split-center design intended to funnel hair directly into the dustbin and prevent hair wrapping around the roller. We tested the system using 7-inch hair strands, and the C28 achieved a perfect result with 0% hair wrap. The average robot vacuum in this category scores 26%, while the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra scored 4%. Hair tangles can reduce cleaning effectiveness and strain brush motors over time, so we were very impressed by this result.
The Eufy Omni C28 also handled debris pickup well across both hard floors and carpets, though we did notice a small amount of debris scattering near the edges of the hard floor testing area. In our crevice cleaning test, the robot earned a score of 2.5, which was above the average score of 2 and slightly behind the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra’s score of 3. That is good news for homes with deep grout lines or flooring seams where debris tends to collect.
Overall, the Eufy C28 proved to be an excellent mop and a highly capable vacuum, particularly when it came to carpets, pet hair pickup, and anti-tangle performance.

Eufy Omni C28 Dock Features
The dock system was another major advantage. The Eufy Omni C28 dock automatically empties the robot’s dustbin while also refilling and draining the robot’s onboard water tanks. It can additionally wash the mop roller using room-temperature water and dry it using hot air at 50°C, or 122°F.
Warm air mop drying is important because it helps reduce mildew buildup and unpleasant odors by drying the mop roller more quickly between cleaning sessions. For users looking for a more hands-free robot vacuum and mop combo, the dock automation on the C28 adds considerable convenience.
Eufy App Features and Smart Controls
The Eufy app was generally a positive experience. Users can create no-go zones, customize cleaning settings, schedule cleanings, adjust suction levels, and select how many cleaning passes the robot performs. The app also supports multi-floor mapping and third-party voice assistant integration.
That said, the app does feel somewhat lighter than competing software ecosystems from brands like Roborock. For example, there is no dedicated one-button feature allowing the robot to vacuum first and mop afterward automatically, which is something we frequently see in premium robot vacuum apps. That workflow can still be configured manually, but it illustrates where the Eufy software experience feels slightly less robust than some competitors.

Eufy C28 Navigation Performance
Navigation was another strong category for the Eufy Omni C28. The robot uses Eufy’s iPath 2.0 LiDAR navigation system, which delivered solid results during testing. In our navigation efficiency testing, the C28 achieved 0.91 square meters per minute, outperforming both the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra’s 0.86 result and the overall average of 0.7. This means the robot cleaned efficiently without wasting excessive time through poor route planning or redundant movements.
Eufy C28 Obstacle Avoidance and Drawbacks
There were a few areas where the Eufy Omni C28 did not perform quite as well. None of these drawbacks were major dealbreakers for most homes, especially considering the robot’s value-focused pricing, but they are still worth mentioning.
The first downside was obstacle avoidance. The system uses a simpler hardware setup with basic LiDAR and line-laser obstacle detection rather than more advanced AI camera systems. In our obstacle avoidance testing, the C28 successfully avoided 15 out of 24 obstacles across both standard evaluations and torture tests. That result was slightly below the average score of 15.7.
More notably, it was a considerable step down from the Eufy E25 robot vacuum, which scored 21 out of 24 possible objects avoided, though the E25 also comes in at a somewhat higher price point.
Another consideration is the robot’s height. At 4.4 inches tall, or 112 millimeters, the Eufy C28 is taller than the average robot vacuum height of 3.8 inches, or 97 millimeters. The roller mop system is likely the primary reason for the added height, making it a trade-off users should consider if they have a lot of low-clearance furniture like beds or sofas.
Battery efficiency was another weaker category. Although Eufy lists the robot’s official runtime at 216 minutes, our testing showed below-average battery efficiency. The C28 achieved 1.21 square meters cleaned per 1% battery consumed, compared to the category average of 1.56 and well behind the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra’s 2.2.
However, because of its strong navigation efficiency, the estimated cleaning coverage per charge still reached approximately 1,191 square feet, which was slightly above the average of 1,170 square feet. So while the battery efficiency itself was below average, the robot’s efficient route planning helped offset some of that weakness in practical use.
Final Verdict: Is the Eufy Omni C28 Worth It?
With exceptional hard floor cleaning ability, impressive vacuuming performance, excellent anti-tangle results, and a highly automated dock system, the Eufy Omni C28 ended up being our favorite Eufy robot vacuum to date. Its biggest strengths were clearly the HydroJet roller mop system, pet hair performance, carpet deep cleaning capability, and overall value proposition.
The obstacle avoidance system and battery efficiency were not class-leading, and the taller robot profile may create limitations for some homes with low furniture. Still, none of those drawbacks significantly outweighed the robot’s overall strengths at its current pricing.
If the Eufy Omni C28 continues selling at its discounted street price, it has a strong chance of becoming one of the best value robot vacuum and mop combos of the year. In many ways, it delivers premium-level cleaning performance at a midrange price. Early user reviews have also been mostly positive so far. As always, we continue monitoring long-term feedback and reliability trends because significant changes in user satisfaction can affect future rankings.
At the time of testing, however, the Eufy C28 earned a place in the top half of our Top 20 Robot Vacuums list, making it the least expensive robot vacuum currently ranked in that portion of the standings.
