FlowWash Real-Time Self-Cleaning Mopping

The Freo 20 is the first model in Narwal’s standard Freo series to include the company’s FlowWash Mopping System.

Instead of conventional spinning mop pads, the robot uses a flattened roller mop that cleans itself continuously while moving through the home. When mopping is required, the roller applies up to 12 newtons of downward pressure and rotates against the robot’s direction of travel to increase scrubbing action.

Narwal says water heated to approximately 140°F is sprayed across the roller through 16 nozzles. A scraper and air pump then remove dirty water and residue into a separate onboard tank.

This design is intended to keep the cleaning surface supplied with fresh water throughout the cycle, reducing the likelihood of spreading collected dirt across multiple rooms.

31,000 Pa Suction and Anti-Tangle Brushes

For vacuuming, the Freo 20 offers up to 31,000 Pa of claimed suction.

It also includes Narwal’s SGS-certified DualFlow Tangle-Free System, which is designed to reduce hair wrapping around the brushes. EdgeReach Technology is intended to improve cleaning along walls, in corners, and around furniture.

Dual-Camera Obstacle Avoidance

The Freo 20 uses Narwal’s NarMind Pro Autonomous System with dual RGB cameras and onboard AI processing.

Narwal says its TwinAI Dodge system can identify more than 300 types of household objects and achieved 99% average recognition accuracy in internal testing. That figure refers to object recognition under specific test conditions and does not guarantee the same avoidance rate in every home.

The robot also includes Pet Care and Baby Care modes. These features are designed to adjust cleaning behavior around pet areas, cribs, and toys while supporting quieter operation and video-monitoring functions.

Woven-Texture Multifunctional Dock

Narwal has also redesigned the Freo 20’s multifunctional dock with a fabric-inspired woven exterior intended to blend more naturally with furniture and modern interiors.

The dock automatically empties the robot, washes the mopping system, and dries it with heated air. Narwal says its four-stage cleaning process uses temperatures of up to 212°F to clean the dock’s internal pathway, followed by drying with air heated to approximately 140°F.

A 2.4-liter dust bag is rated for up to 120 days between replacements, although actual capacity will depend on cleaning frequency, home size, pet hair, and debris levels.
