Shark Introduces EveryMess Portable Wet & Dry Vac and Stain Remover, a New Hybrid Category in Small-Format Cleaning Tools

Shark has announced a new portable cleaning machine called the EveryMess™ Corded Portable Wet & Dry Vac and Stain Remover, a compact device designed to handle both wet and dry debris while also performing spot-cleaning tasks on carpets and upholstery.

According to the company, the EveryMess is a 3-in-1 system: it can vacuum dry debris, pick up liquid spills, and apply cleaning solution for stain removal. This combination of capabilities is not common in small, handheld or portable units, which are typically limited to either wet/dry pickup (similar to a small shop vac) or stain cleaning only. The release suggests Shark is positioning this as a new hybrid sub-category, combining roles normally handled by separate tools.

Shark EveryMess

Three Functions in One Device

Shark states that the EveryMess provides:

  • Dry vacuuming for debris such as crumbs, dust, and everyday household messes
  • Wet pickup for liquid spills
  • Stain cleaning using solution for carpets, upholstery, and car interiors

The company highlights suction claims (including “2X stronger suction*”) and increased stain-cleaning performance (“30X more stain-fighting power**”).

Designed for Small and Mixed Messes

The EveryMess is compact and portable, aimed at quick cleanup of various messes and on a variety of surfaces—including floors, furniture, and vehicles. It’s compact enough to fit in a standard cabinet, making it easy to store and access for everyday household messes. This makes it notable as a multi-purpose tool in a product category that has typically specialized: shop vacs for heavy wet/dry debris, and portable spot cleaners for upholstery and carpet stains.

A Growing Trend Toward Multi-Use Floorcare Products

The EveryMess release reflects a broader trend in the floorcare market toward devices capable of handling multiple cleaning modes in one compact form factor. Over the past several years, manufacturers have increasingly blended categories—for example, wet/dry cordless vacuums that also wash floors, or robot vacuums that both vacuum and mop. Shark’s new model extends that trend into the portable cleaning space, where this type of 3-in-1 combination has been less common.
