SwitchBot Reveals K20+ Pro, the Multitasking Robot, and S20 Pro

SwitchBot has unveiled two new robot models at CES 2025—the K20+ Pro and the S20 Pro. According to SwitchBot, the K20+ Pro aims to function not only as a traditional robot vacuum but also as a mobile home assistant capable of delivering items, purifying air, and monitoring security. The company labels it “multitasking,” citing its ability to integrate with other products in the SwitchBot ecosystem, while the S20 Pro focuses on improving its predecessor, the S10 Pro.

K20+ Pro: the Multitasking House Robot

Smart Delivery and Household Assistance

The main concept behind the K20+ Pro seems to be, “What if your robot vacuum could carry things?”

The FusionPlatform can carry loads up to 8 kg (17.6 lbs)

SwitchBot explored this possibility with the FusionPlatform™, which—according to the company—allows the K20+ Pro to carry loads up to 8 kg. This may enable it to deliver items like groceries, pet supplies, or other small objects around the house. SwitchBot suggests this feature could be particularly beneficial for households with seniors or children.

SwitchBot states that its ClawLock™ mechanism allows quick attachment or detachment of different smart devices in the SwitchBot ecosystem—security cameras, fan, and/or an air purifier. This design allows users to customize the K20+ Pro for various needs, which sets it apart from single-purpose robot vacuums.

Mini Robot Vacuum

The K20+ Pro includes a mini robot vacuum that reportedly uses TwinFlow™ Suction Technology for dust collection. According to SwitchBot, there are four cleaning modes designed for different levels of mess, from quick spot cleans to deeper vacuuming sessions.

The earlier K10+ model also featured TwinFlow™ technology, which advertised a suction power of 20,000 Pa, but the exact details of features or improvements (if any) for the K20+ Pro have not been confirmed. There is also no mention of a mopping feature for the K20+ Pro, whereas the K10+ had a small mopping mechanism with disposable wet wipes.

The K20+ Pro is said to support automatic docking and charging, along with D-ToF Lidar Navigation and dual laser detection to plan its cleaning path efficiently. It is also claimed to navigate household barriers without frequent errors, which could be helpful for multi-level homes.

Cordless Combo Kit

Like its predecessor, the K20+ Pro Combo setup adds a lightweight cordless vacuum component to the base robot vacuum. The addition of a cordless vacuum allows users to tackle furniture, stairs, and any other above-floor vacuuming more flexibly.

Since we are a vacuum-focused website, the actual vacuuming features for the K20+ Pro seem modest and are certainly not the focus of this robot’s innovation, but the idea that a robot vacuum could have a utility beyond floor cleaning, where a manufacturer leverages the mobility of the robot, is very interesting to us.

Mobile Home Security

The security camera can move around the house for pet monitoring and enhanced home surveillance

An optional K20+ Pro Patrol Kit includes a SwitchBot Pan/Tilt Cam Plus (2K or 3K). If implemented effectively, it would provide remote monitoring, motion detection, and the ability to control the robot from the SwitchBot app. This is an interesting concept for those who want a roving security camera.

SwitchBot also advertises a K20+ Pro Air Purifier Kit. This would let the robot travel between rooms with an air purifier on board. There is also a mobile device stand, and a small fan. You will be able to purchase these kits separately or altogether in a bundle kit called the SwitchBot K20+ Pro Omni Ultimate Kit.

The Modular Power of FusionPlatform™

For those looking to modify or add specialized functions, FusionPlatform™ includes multiple power ports. SwitchBot claims they can support 3D-printed parts, speakers, UV sterilization lamps, and other creative additions.

SwitchBot Ecosystem Compatibility

Like other SwitchBot products, the K20+ Pro is designed to link seamlessly with the SwitchBot app. The company also mentions compatibility with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. Users might be able to set schedules or control the device through voice commands—an increasingly desired feature in modern smart home appliances.

Customizable Options

The SwitchBot positions the K20+ Pro as a glimpse into a new era of multifunctional household robots. You can even get a stand that holds your device. You can select which customization fits your needs, or you can purchase a kit that includes all of the add-ons.

SwitchBot is planning to incorporate a robotic arm on the K20+ Pro, but it is still in development.

According to SwitchBot, the K20+ Pro will be available on its official website later in the year with these multiple kit options:

SwitchBot Floor Cleaning Robot S20 Pro

The S20 with two base station options
The new S20 has two base station options, one with plumbing integration and one with a traditional water tank

For those interested in a more traditional robot vacuum, SwitchBot also announced the new SwitchBot S20 Pro, which is meant to improve on its predecessor, the SwitchBot S10. The S20 Pro offers an extendable side brush for corners and an extendable roller mop for wall edges. Meanwhile, its 15,000 Pa more than doubles the suction reported on the S10.

The S20 Pro also comes with an all-in-one base station in two configurations—one with a standard water tank and another than can be integrated into your home’s plumbing. SwitchBot was one of the first vacuum robots that offered this plumbing option, and it speaks to their brand’s interest in integrated home appliances.

The S20 base station includes high-temperature mop drying, cleaning solution refilling, and automated dust collection. The robot vacuum is also backward compatible with the S10 water station, good news for returning SwitchBot customers who want to upgrade to the S20 without the hassle of refitting the plumbing again.

SwitchBot states that the S20 Pro will be Matter-certified out of the box, eliminating the need for hubs and enabling easier integration with other smart home products. Designed to offer thorough floor cleaning, the S20 Pro appears to maintain SwitchBot’s focus on feature-rich home automation solutions.
