Dreame has expanded its robot vacuum and mop lineup with the release of two new configurations: the entry-level D30 Ultra CE and the mid-tier L40 Ultra Gen 2. Both models introduce a significant performance shift for their respective classes by incorporating a 25,000Pa Vormax™ suction motor. These strong official numbers were previously reserved for top-tier flagship hardware, and they represent a larger trend of high suction coming to economical models, at least in lab settings.
Other differences between these newly introduced variations and their existing counterparts lie in their physical edge-cleaning mechanics, obstacle navigation hardware, and dock automation features.

The NAME is a premium robot vacuum and mop combo built for fully automated floor cleaning, featuring powerful 25,000Pa Vormax suction for deep carpet and hard floor cleaning, dual spinning mop pads with automatic lifting up to 0.41 inches to help protect carpets, and Dual Flex Arm technology with extendable side brush and mop for improved edge and corner coverage. It uses Pathfinder Smart Navigation with LiDAR mapping, multi-floor mapping, no-go zones, room-specific cleaning, app controls, and voice assistant compatibility with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Matter support. The all-in-one dock automatically empties the dustbin into a 3.2L dust bag with up to 100 days of hands-free maintenance, refills the water tank, washes the mop pads, self-cleans the washboard, and hot-air dries the mops to reduce odors and bacteria buildup. Additional features include carpet boost, ultrasonic carpet detection, customizable water flow levels, auto recharge and resume, smart dirt detection, 3DAdapt obstacle avoidance, a 5,200mAh battery with extended runtime, and five adjustable suction levels for customized whole-home cleaning performance.

Mid-Tier Refresh: Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2
The L40 Ultra Gen 2 brings a substantial increase in raw cleaning power compared to the original L40 Ultra (see our review) but alters the hardware configuration regarding intelligent obstacle avoidance and base station integration.
Suction and Hardware
The Gen 2 moves from the original model’s 11,000Pa rating to a 25,000Pa Vormax™ suction engine, altering its performance profile on deep-pile carpets and embedded debris.
It retains the mechanical articulation of the original, utilizing both MopExtend™ RoboSwing technology and a SideReach™ extendable side brush to physically reach into tight corners and along baseboards.

Navigation Hardware Changes
The original L40 Ultra featured an onboard RGB camera that enabled remote video monitoring and live video features. The L40 Ultra Gen 2 drops the RGB video camera entirely, replacing it with a privacy-focused hardware arrangement consisting of 3DAdapt structured light and Smart Pathfinder LiDAR navigation. Some customers prefer a robot without a camera (see our article on security), but it can come with a trade-off in obstacle avoidance performance.

Dock Modifications
While the original model shipped with an integrated automated floor-cleaning solution dispenser built into the base station, the Gen 2 shifts this to a modular design. The Auto-Detergent dispenser is now an optional accessory module that must be purchased separately. It does, however, maintain the 149°F (65°C) hot water mop washing and auto mop-detachment capability for carpet care.

Entry-Level Variation: Dreame D30 Ultra CE
The D30 Ultra CE arrives as a streamlined variant of the existing standard D30 Ultra. While it preserves the baseline 25,000Pa vacuum motor, it sheds several physical articulation and hardware elements to achieve a lower price point.

The Dreame D30 Ultra CE is a robot vacuum/mop combo designed for hands-free whole-home cleaning, featuring powerful 25,000Pa Vormax suction for deep debris pickup on hard floors and carpets, dual rotating DuoScrub mop pads for scrubbing performance, and automatic mop lifting up to 0.41 inches to help keep rugs dry during mopping sessions. It uses Smart Pathfinder navigation with LiDAR mapping and smart obstacle avoidance to efficiently clean around furniture and household objects while supporting multi-floor maps, no-go zones, virtual barriers, scheduled cleaning, app controls, and voice assistant compatibility with Matter support. The zero-tangle TriCut brush is engineered to reduce hair wrap, while MopExtend technology helps the robot reach edges and corners more effectively. Its multifunction dock automatically empties the dustbin into a 3.2L dust bag with up to 100 days of hands-free maintenance, washes and dries the mop pads, cleans the washboard with AceClean DryBoard technology, and supports faster charging. Additional features include carpet boost, ultrasonic carpet detection, pet care modes, a lithium-ion battery with up to 180 minutes of runtime, and automatic recharge and resume capability.

Suction and Hardware
The D30 Ultra CE features 25,000Pa Vormax™ suction. The CE model also retains the standard 0.41-inch (10.5mm) automated mop lift mechanism for transitioning onto area rugs, alongside an upgraded 300ml internal dust box. While the TriCut antitangle brush come with the Ultra model, the Ultra CE comes with a standard rubber brush with the option to purchase the TriCut separately.

The Physical Edge and Brush Strips
The standard D30 Ultra uses MopExtend™ RoboSwing technology to swing its mop pads out up to 4cm into corners. The D30 Ultra CE eliminates this feature, relying instead on a fixed dual-rotary DuoScrub™ mop.
Dock Features
The CE version washes mop pads with a room-temperature fresh water stream to its 20-nozzle AceClean™ DryBoard self-cleaning washboard. It also dries the mops with room temperature air and empties the dustbin into a disposable bag. The CE variant charges the battery with smart off-peak charging with standard speeds for the 5,200mAh battery.
