The Dyson WashG1™ wet floor cleaner has launched in the US and is now available to purchase from the Dyson US website. This is Dyson’s first dedicated wet floor cleaner, designed specifically for hard floors, capable of removing both wet and dry debris in a single pass.
Dyson WashG1 Wet Floor Cleaner
The Dyson WashG1 is a dedicated hard-floor cleaner that uses counter-rotating microfiber rollers instead of vacuum suction. According to Dyson, it collects wet and dry debris while separating solids into a debris tray and liquids into a dirty-water tank. Designed for sealed hard floors, it includes separate clean- and dirty-water tanks, a click-in battery, and a charging dock with a self-cleaning function. Dyson claims up to 35 minutes of runtime. It is not intended for carpets or rugs. Vacuum Wars has not tested this product; this summary is based on manufacturer specifications. See additional info
Counter-Rotating Rollers Instead of Vacuum Suction
The WashG1 utilizes counter-rotating motorized rollers that separate debris from liquids. This mechanism allows for simultaneous wet and dry cleaning. Debris and waste liquids are collected in separate trays—a tray for dirt and debris and a dirty water tank for liquids—facilitating hygienic disposal without direct contact.
