Roborock Expands Q-series with Q5 Pro and Q8 Max Robot Vacuums – IFA 2023

Robot vacuum manufacturer Roborock announced two new robot vacuums at IFA 2023: the Q5 Pro and Q8 Max. Both robot vacuums use LiDAR for navigation and come with Roborock’s new DuoRoller brush design first seen on the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra. That robot was the first Roborock to ship with a two-roller design.

Update: The Q5 Pro and Q8 Max, both with and without auto-empty docks, are available to buy.

The mopping system on both robots is the same style seen on earlier Q models as opposed to the dual spinning mop pads that can be found on the Q Revo. And, like all 2-in-1 Roborock robot vacuums the Q5 Pro and Q8 Max can vacuum and mop at the same time, lifting the mop mad when encountering carpeting.

Each robot is slate to ship in two configurations. The Q5 Pro and Q8 Max will include the new robot vacuum and mop and a standard charging base. The Q5 Pro Plus and Q8 Max Plus will include the robot and a charging dock with auto-empty capability.

Roborock says both robot vacuums will be available in North America this October.
