Dyson Launches the V9 Motorbar Cordless Vacuum

Dyson has introduced its latest cordless vacuum, the Dyson V9 Motorbar, a new addition to the brand’s long-running line of lightweight, high-performance vacuums. The model is powered by Dyson’s Hyperdymium™ motor, which spins up to 120,000 revolutions per minute, delivering powerful suction in a compact frame. Designed for efficient cleaning across multiple floor types, the V9 Motorbar represents Dyson’s ongoing refinement of cordless technology for everyday home use.

High-Speed Power in a Lightweight Design

According to Dyson, the V9 Motorbar combines the brand’s signature engineering focus on suction efficiency with improved maneuverability. The vacuum weighs about 4.6 pounds, making it one of Dyson’s lighter models. Despite its slim frame, the seven-cell battery system provides up to 40 minutes of fade-free suction, enabling uninterrupted cleaning sessions on both carpets and hard floors.

Motorbar Cleaner Head with De-Tangling Technology

The Motorbar™ cleaner head is designed to adapt automatically to different floor surfaces, optimizing suction for each. It also incorporates Dyson’s de-tangling technology, which uses integrated vanes to remove hair from the brush bar as it spins. This helps prevent the buildup of hair commonly found on traditional brush heads, improving long-term performance and ease of maintenance.

Advanced Filtration and Hygienic Bin Emptying

The V9 Motorbar features whole-machine filtration, capturing microscopic particles as small as 0.3 microns to help maintain cleaner indoor air. Dyson’s point-and-shoot bin emptying system allows users to eject dust and debris directly into the trash without contact, reducing exposure to allergens and fine dust.

Onboard Display and Smart Operation

A built-in LCD display provides real-time performance information, including remaining runtime, maintenance reminders, and current power mode. The system allows users to monitor cleaning progress and battery life at a glance. The V9 Motorbar is available in multiple configurations, each offering a selection of Dyson attachments for specialized cleaning tasks such as upholstery, corners, and vehicles.
