Dyson’s New Nurovi Robot Vacuums Lead a 10-Product Fall 2026 Lineup

Dyson has unveiled 10 new products spanning robotic and manual floor care, air treatment, oral care and hair care. For Vacuum Wars, the centerpiece is a new three-model family of Nurovi robot vacuums, led by a flagship model that uses UV-enhanced vision to identify stains and a self-cleaning roller supplied with heated water.

The Dyson R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV sits at the top of the robot range, with U.S. availability scheduled for September 15, 2026. The R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry is scheduled to launch September 3 as a Costco exclusive, while the R1 Nurovi Dry is expected later in September.

Dyson’s other home-care announcements include the updated W1 PencilWash + Dok wet floor cleaner and three additions to the HushJet air-treatment range. The wider launch also includes the CameraJet connected toothbrush, Corrale CoolShine straightener and Airsmooth dryer brush.

Dyson Builds a Three-Tier Nurovi Robot Vacuum Range

Dyson says the Nurovi name combines its new Neural Intelligence technology with its latest vision systems. More importantly for shoppers, the announcement turns Dyson’s robot vacuum offering into a clearly tiered lineup: the R3 is the most advanced wet-dry model, the R2 offers vacuuming and mopping at a lower price, and the R1 concentrates on dry pickup.

R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV Adds UV-Enhanced Stain Detection

The Dyson R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV is the company’s new flagship robot vacuum and mop. Its headline feature is an AI stain-detection system that combines ultraviolet light, AI vision and green illumination. Dyson says the system can identify nearly 200 types of household substances and objects, then clean an area repeatedly until a detected stain has been removed. The company notes that results can vary with the type and severity of the stain.

For mopping, a 12-point hydration system continuously supplies the full-width microfiber roller with fresh water heated to 158°F. The roller cleans itself during each rotation and can extend approximately 1.6 inches, or 40 millimeters, to approach walls and room edges.

Dyson rates the R3 at 30,000 Pa of suction pressure, which it says is 65% more than the current Dyson Spot+Scrub AI. The R3 retains one of that model’s most distinctive features: a cyclonic, bagless dock that automatically empties the robot. Dyson says the new station also cleans and recharges the robot after a cleaning cycle.

R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry Uses Reuleaux Triangle Mop Pads

The Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry takes a different approach to mopping. Instead of conventional circular pads, it uses pads shaped like Reuleaux triangles – curved triangular forms that maintain a constant width as they rotate.

Dyson says the pads move in a controlled eccentric pattern intended to produce a more square-shaped cleaning path and reach farther into corners. The dock heats water to 167°F to support stain removal.

The R2 also introduces what Dyson calls its Twin-capture system. Bristles mechanically direct larger debris into the robot, while the vacuum motor focuses on fine dust and smaller particles. An acoustic piezo sensor monitors dust levels and floor types, allowing the robot to adjust suction and cleaning behavior automatically when operating in Auto mode.

R1 Nurovi Dry Focuses on Vacuuming

The Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry removes the mopping system and concentrates on dry cleaning across hard floors and carpets. It uses the same Twin-capture approach as the R2 and is rated at 21,000 Pa of suction pressure.

Dyson has also redesigned the side-sweeping brushes. They are angled to direct debris toward the airflow path and use a flexible connector intended to manage brush pressure and direction. The sweepers extend outward for improved coverage along walls and in corners, while the design is also intended to reduce scattered debris and hair tangling.

W1 PencilWash Adds a Self-Cleaning Dok

Dyson also announced the W1 PencilWash + Dok, an updated version of the slim wet floor cleaner introduced earlier in 2026.

The new model adds a more absorbent roller, a redesigned waste system and a dock with self-cleaning technology. Dyson says it retains the lightweight, narrow design that defined the original PencilWash. The W1 PencilWash + Dok is expected in the United States in fall 2026 with a list price of $349.

Dyson Expands the HushJet Air Purifier Range

Following the launch of the HushJet Purifier Compact, Dyson is extending its HushJet airflow design across three larger purifiers, fans and heaters. The forward-facing nozzle is designed to control turbulence and project filtered air farther into a room while limiting noise.

HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde

The HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde is the largest and most expensive model in the new range. Dyson positions it as a multi-room purifier, although that claim is based on a simulation involving two rooms connected by an open door and validated with physical testing.

Its three-stage filtration system is designed to capture particles and gases while destroying formaldehyde. Dyson claims 99.999% capture of particles as small as 0.01 microns under controlled chamber testing. Actual performance will depend on room conditions, placement and operating settings.

HushJet Pure Cool+ Formaldehyde and Hot Cool Pure+

The medium-sized HushJet Pure Cool+ Formaldehyde combines purification with personal cooling. Dyson says it offers up to three times the purification performance of its previous TP purifier range.

The HushJet Hot Cool Pure+ adds heating and is described as Dyson’s most powerful three-in-one purifier. As with Dyson’s other cooling products, its cooling function comes from projected airflow; it is a fan rather than an air-conditioning unit.

MyDyson Adds Concierge, In-Store Service and Loan Machines

Dyson also outlined an expanded customer-service program under the MyDyson name. Dyson Concierge is intended to give robot owners personalized onboarding, while selected Dyson stores and service centers will offer diagnostics and repairs from trained staff.

Under a new Loan Promise, Dyson says customers will be offered a complimentary loan machine when an eligible repair cannot be completed immediately. Availability and detailed terms for these services were not included in the announcement.

Vacuum Wars’ Initial Take

For Vacuum Wars, the central announcement is Dyson’s move from one premium robot vacuum and mop to a three-level Nurovi family. The R3 appears to be a direct evolution of the Spot+Scrub AI, preserving the bagless dock and roller-mopping concept while adding higher claimed suction, hotter onboard mopping water and UV-enhanced stain recognition.

The R2 may be the most unusual design in the group. Its Reuleaux triangle mop pads are an inventive response to the long-standing problem of circular pads leaving corners partially untouched. Whether that geometry meaningfully improves coverage will need to be evaluated in practice.

The R1 is also notable because relatively few major brands are introducing new robot vacuums without mopping. Its effectiveness will depend on how well the Twin-capture brush system handles fine debris, larger particles, carpets and hair in real homes.

Dyson’s wider event also included their latest personal care offerings: the CameraJet connected toothbrush, Corrale CoolShine straightener and Airsmooth dryer brush.

Vacuum Wars will reserve performance conclusions until the new products can be independently evaluated under consistent studio conditions.
